Q: I am installing commercial tile and I have no idea what tool is used to cut this kind of tile, it easily breaks if its bent too hard. I need to cut curved areas on this tile and I have no idea what too to use. Please help! ;)
Forget the rental business, you'll pay for one day as much as you can buy one for your use. Go to Home Depot, they start at $88.00 for a cheapo that works just fine for a powered tile cutter. I have had one for several years now I paid $120.00 for it, two days rental, and it's done more then several bathrooms and floors, still going strong.
Q: I am remodeling a small bathroom only 39sq ft. I had someone come out and give me an estimate, he brought a sample of a job he did and tried to sell me on that design, which will NOT complement my existing fixtures, since my existing fixtures are fairly new, I decided to reuse those to save me money. Anyways, this sample he brought me used 16in tiles, since my bathroom is so small, I think huge tile will make it seem even smaller and claustrophobic, I was thinking 1in-4in tiles, but this guy insists that large tile will make the small bathroom seem larger, is there any truth to this? Also, what is a good price to pay, I want the tub replaced, the tile around the tub, replace the small window, flip the sink and toilet so that the sink sits where the toilet is at and the toilet where the sink is, maybe re-tile the floor. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
Small tiles will make the room look larger. Your other plans are going to cost a bundle, especially switching the toilet and sink positions.
Q: The house has been living for two years, these days do not know the weather is wet or how the matter, the bathroom tile actually fell a few pieces, but fortunately did not break. Now want to paste it back, I would like to ask, how to paste? With cement? Or what other glue? Do you want to drink again before There is also a problem with the brick at that time, but the closure or other problems? Another: Tiles are Mona Lisa. Thank you!
If the individual tiles fall off, you can re-use the pure cement paste the tiles, but if it is falling out of the tiles of the wall is not on the original cement cleared, then the cement paste will make this place higher than the original Out of the point, and the removal of the original cement with a certain degree of difficulty, because in this piece of empty space at the four corners of the cement is more difficult to remove, confused will not fall off the tiles broken. There is also a way to: buy a group of "AB resin glue", according to the instructions on the plastic tile in the fall of the reverse, in the paste to the original place, and so about 10 minutes after the initial curing, and so on 24 After hours, it will be a very good sticky. But if you use glue, it must ensure that the wall and the place to be tiled are dry, can not have humidity, otherwise it will stick.
Q: and 12 red tiles and 9 white tiles in pattern 3, how many white and red tiles will there be in pattern 6 and pattern 10?Thanks!
The answer is: In pattern 6: 18 Red Tiles and 18 White Tiles In pattern 10: 26 Red Tiles and 30 White Tiles Look at the pattern for your answer. How do the number of tiles change each pattern? The answer is that Red Tiles increase by two (2) tiles each pattern and White Tiles increase by three (3) each pattern. So the patterns are as follows: Pattern / RED / WHITE Pattern 1 / 8 / 3 Pattern 2 / 10 / 6 Pattern 3 / 12 / 9 Pattern 4 / 14 / 12 Pattern 5 / 16 / 15 Pattern 6 / 18 / 18 Pattern 7 / 20 / 21 Pattern 8 / 22 / 24 Pattern 9/ 24 / 27 Pattern 10 / 26 / 30 So, as aforementioned, the answer is: In pattern 6: 18 Red Tiles and 18 White Tiles In pattern 10: 26 Red Tiles and 30 White Tiles
Q: Anyone have any experience with using glass mosaic tile as the kitchen counter material (not just as the backsplash)? This would be for a lightly used area of my kitchen counter by the sink - not the primary work area. Would love to hear any pros and cons. Thanks!

Q: I am thinking of doing a school based apprenticeship in tiling how much money will I get? and how long is the apprenticeship last for my m said around 4 years?
First of all I applaud your thinking of doing an apprenticeship. A tiler once told me that all you need to know about tiling is 'one on top of another, shiny side out' ! If in UK check out your local F.E. College which usually run a full range of courses in the various building trades. If you want an apprenticeship rather than a stand alone course, why not contact a reputable local builder who may take you on and train you on the job together with a college course. Good luck.
Q: We have tiled around our jetted tub about halfway up the wall and the top and around the edges does not look finished. Do we add trim there or something else?
We finished off our tile with quarter round tile. We used the same color as our wall tile but with a slightly duller finish. My point is you can use a coordinating color or finish if quarter round is not available for your exact tile.
Q: I'm decorating my bathroom with a soothing and relaxing water theme (sand and water colours - beige, white, earthy brown, pale blue, and pale green). I need a backsplash behind my sink and tiles in the shower area. Any ideas that would work with this theme?

Q: my bathroom has brown tiles that i hate i bourgh white and stone tile paint there rubbish can i use another paint what kind i cant re tile landlord wont let me so need help
You need to paint tiles with tile paint, especially if they're in a wet place like your bathroom or toilet. Alternatively (if you want to put yourself into more expense), you can buy a universal sealant to first seal the tiles. Paint the sealant onto the tiles and give it enough time (according to manufacturer's specifications) to dry. You can then paint over this with emulsion paint. One word of warning: Don't expect it to last forever and it may scratch easily. It'll look good though... I've used this method in the link below.
