- Q: are glass blood collection tubes are better than plastic s ?
- Not that I know of. Some of the benefits of using a plastic tube is that they are single-use, disposable, incineratable, and doesn't shatter when dropped, all lowering the risk of contamination.
- Q: Are plastic tubes water-resistant?
- Yes, plastic tubes are generally water-resistant as they are made from materials like PVC or polyethylene that do not absorb water.
- Q: I remember 35 years ago, when all the uproar was made about aluminum or metal filings were found inside toothpaste tubes. %Health issues were raised about the residual filings in the base of toothpaste tubes for people who press the last nth of toothpaste from the tube.I'm researching about this concern in the plastic and other material-type tubes used nowadays. How SAFE / secure can we be (is there a watchdog org?) to Q.C. this safety-issue in the commercial brands of toothpaste nowadays?I use a tube-wringer on my toothpaste tubes so I get the last nth of toothpaste from each tube and I am curious how SAFE a practice this is.
- There's no way to remove all toxins from anything manufactured. If however, you are simply brushing your teeth with the toothpaste and not actually consuming it, I think you'll be ok. Afterall, the metal, aluminum or plastic filings (if swallowed) would only pass through your digestive course. Should harm occur it would likely be in a circumstance where there was already an issue, i.e. ulcers, diverticuli, etc. On the other hand, if you WERE to ingest fluoridated toothpaste you could become gravely ill on consumption of fluoride alone. Long story short: I think you'll be ok.
- Q: I don't mind cutting the wire but I want to make sure hampster won't get hurt the bubble tube can't be pushed off by her.
- I wouldn't risk it. If a hamster gets cut that's prety much the end of the hamster, they don't have much blood to waste. If you are trying to get more space for your hamster get a big bin from Wal-Mart or any other store, wash it, put the hamster in with his/her toys. Put a window screen on top, you have a hamster cage. You wouldn't believe how many people keep thier hamsters in bins, its roomy, cheep, and easy to clean. Hope this helps!
- Q: How do plastic tubes compare to fiberglass tubes in terms of weight?
- Plastic tubes are generally lighter in weight compared to fiberglass tubes.
- Q: I'm building a computer and I got to the liquid cooling option and I can't decide between copper tubing and plastic tubing. I've seen plastic tubing and know that plastic is easier to detach, but I think copper might cool the components better. Any suggestions?(Note-this is not a budget build by any means-I want to know which one performs better, not what's the best bang for your buck)
- Copper is better bang but needs to be bent for each component. Plastic is flexible and just needs to be cut to length
- Q: Are plastic tubes safe for children's toys?
- Plastic tubes can be safe for children's toys if they meet the necessary safety standards and are free from any harmful chemicals or choking hazards. However, it is important to ensure that the plastic tubes are age-appropriate, durable, and have no sharp edges to minimize any potential risks to children.
- Q: if possible list the items , i allready have a plastic tube to use
- if you want it sealed on the ends, use sculpy or other oven bake clays to make end pieces, tape it with electrical tape for decorations.
- Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of light transmission?
- Yes, plastic tubes can have limitations in terms of light transmission. The type of plastic used, its thickness, and the presence of additives or impurities can affect the amount of light that can pass through the tube. Some plastics may have higher light absorption or scattering properties, which can reduce the amount of light transmitted through the tube. Additionally, longer or curved plastic tubes may cause further light loss due to internal reflection or refraction.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for transportation of gases?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for the transportation of gases.
