- You can replace the line with copper. If the connection point is metal you'll want to use a brass compression nut (brass) with a (brass) compression sleeve (know as a ferrules) if the connection point is plastic you'll want to use a nylon compression fitting. The metal ferrules one wont work as you would need to crank the you know what out out it to make it seal, and run the risk of stripping the plastic threads. The nylon takes less torque to seal if that makes sense as its a more dense material. You should be able to get all the parts from a local hardware store or big box store such as lowes or homedepot.

Now my dipstick cant be reinstalled and also if I do ever push the plastic down, will that affect the motor? - I guess you will use the drain plug next time. You should be OK if you push it down into the pan as there is a screen on most oil pickups. It may even come out in your next oil change if it is small enough.

- check where the water fills the ice maker and see if the plastic tubing if blocked with ice,if it is remove and run hot water over it and reinstall it.loosen the line to the water valve on the bottom in the back of the frig,if you get no water then the supply valve is clogged.make sure the water valve is plugged in.the other thing is you might have a bad ice maker water valve
