Q: My PPR plastic pipe leaking, how to do ah?: This depends on the water leakage, the interface between the pipe and the pipe, or the stop valve.

Q: An air core is no core except air.: The purpose of a core in a transformer is to ensure as much as possible of the flux from one winding links the other. Also, we want the core to have a very small reluctance, so that the magnetising inductance (sometimes refered to as the mutual inductance) is very large. If it isnt, the transformer will have a large magnetising current i.e. it behaves as a shunt low value inductance, we need this inductance to be very high. Even if the powdered stones in the tube had a low reluctance (maybe they have alot of iron oxides in them?), the problem is that still most of the magnetic circuit is through air, so there is still a high reluctance. You need a closed magnetic circuit with a low reluctance material, or else you will need a very large number of turns on the windings, and they will need to be arranged carefully, to keep the leakage inductance low (flux from one winding that doesnt link with the other...) But what is the application? For low frequency power transformers we want a low leakage reactance and a very high magnetising reactance. For other kinds of transformers we might want a high leakage reactance (say a transformer to be used as a welder, the leakage reactance acts like a series choke to limit the short circuit current...). For broadband high frequency transformers, we want as little leakage inductance as possible, where as low magnetising inductance is not a problem at these frequencies. So usually we make transformers for this application with the two windings as one side of a twisted pair cable, or coax cable, and then have an air core. So how good a transformer core is depends on its application!

(this was just an idea given by my teacher, the solution doesnt have to incorporate this): How hot do you have to heat it? A coiled black plastic tube filled with water will circulate the water on it's own. The heated water will expand and rise in the coils, and the cooler water will fall in the coils, once the action starts, it will flow on it's own. It will take a lot of coiled tube to heat the water to a noticeable degree and make it circulate on it's own. Try getting enough black tube to hold 4 liters of water, coil it and fill it with water, and connect the ends together. Take it apart at the end of 1 and half hours, and you will find the water temperature has gone up. Or you can place both ends in a plastic milk jug if you are allowed to use one, and the water will circulate out of the jug, be heated by the black tube and sun, and then circulate back into the jug. You will have to place one end of the tube at the bottom of the jug and the other end at the top of the jug and the coiled pipe would need to be laying flat at the save level as the top fo the jug for it to circulate

Q: Glass surfaces are negatively charged, and when blood is collected in a clean glass test tube, it clots. Explain this observation.: it doesnt matter if it's glass or plastic. Once exposed to air (oxygen) the blood will clot unless it's been treated with an anticoagulant like EDTA, heparin, or sodium citrate. That's why these test tubes have anti coagulant in them. The tubes themselves can be glass or plastic, it doesn't matter. No anti-coagulant = clot anti-coagulant = no clot.
