Q: why do people put plastic sheeting down before pouring concrete? I think i know but want to here from experts.?
Laying Down Concrete
Q: How do plastic sheets compare to glass sheets?
Plastic sheets and glass sheets have different properties and applications. Plastic sheets are lightweight, flexible, and shatter-resistant, making them ideal for applications where safety is a concern or where a more cost-effective option is needed. On the other hand, glass sheets are heavier, rigid, and offer better clarity and scratch resistance. They are commonly used for applications that require high transparency, like windows or display cases. Ultimately, the choice between plastic and glass sheets depends on the specific requirements of the project.
Q: FRP-Fiberglass reinforced plastic, how much should i pay per sheet for install
That's a loaded question since different parts of the country have different labor rates. Also it would depend on if they only have to glue and stick or will there be cutting involved? How many sheets ? The more sheets then the cost goes down.If you only have a few sheets it will cost more since we'll want to make it worth our time to come and do the job. Other things that factor in - do we pick up the material or do you have ALL the materials at the job site ? Do you want a trim peace between the sheets or just a butt joint ? Does the material have to be carried up stairs ? So many questions and so little info posted !
Q: I have started sewing checkbook covers recently. They seem to need something to stabilize them, and I have been using cardboard. I was wondering if anywhere sells thin plastic sheets (like margarine/yogurt lid thickness) that I could cut to fit. I don't sew through it, it would be removable. Or somewhere online would work too.... or any suggestions to use stuff I already have! Thanks for your help! :)
Plastic canvas works well for that. Michaels and Hobby Lobby both have it.
Q: Why does Dexter not get caught? He seems to make a lot of mistakes. e.g All the plastic sheets he uses?
Omg I Know!! They never show him cleaning up the blood. what does he do with the plastic!
Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to solvents or oils?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to solvents and oils.
Q: Are plastic sheets UV-resistant?
Yes, plastic sheets can be made UV-resistant by incorporating specific additives during the manufacturing process. These additives protect the plastic from the damaging effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, helping to prevent discoloration, degradation, and loss of strength.
Q: Can you do papercraft with plastic sheets?
Heat creases into place.
Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to moisture condensation?
Yes, plastic sheets are generally resistant to moisture condensation due to their non-porous nature.
Q: It's flat, like paper, but with a layer of plastic over top of it that has grooves into it that refracts the image printed on the paper. You used to get them in cereal/crackerjack boxes, or printed on a child's plastic ruler, or sometimes even the cover of a book would have them. Depending on the angle that you hold them, you see different images. You could tip them back and forth to produce a little 5 or 6 frame animation. Or some of them even let you see some basic 3D stereoscopic images. You don't need to wear 3D glasses or anything, it's just a flat thing. What's that technology called? I'm trying to find info about them and I don't know what they're called. Is there a company that will make them for me?
It's called autostereoscopy. The grooved plastic is either a lenticular lens or parallax barrier
