Q: What was wrong with the tires?
They had to many of the tires blow up and they didn't want to be sued any more. I had the recalled tires on my explorer, so I went down and got them replaced, What a mistake I made. The old tires had 137,000 miles on them and they looked brand new. Put on the new ones and at 165,000 miles the tires are junk.
Q: would my mud/snow stock off road tires get better mileage for a tacoma if i got street tires? and the ride would be smoother and quieter as well correct?
The ride would definitely be quieter. The gas mileage is affected more by making sure that the air pressures are correct, and that you use the correct size every time.
Q: Tire Question
RE: Can I fit different size tyres/tires than the factory originals ? I have a 2004 Audi Avant (Estate) the tyres that are currently fitted are 205/55/R16 91 W. I have been offered some tyres at a bargain price but they are slightly different 205/50/R16 87 W. I telephoned an Audi main dealer and they said they would not recommend this because of the speed rating.
Q: What is the synthetic process of the car tires and what is the manufacturing process?
Tire common classification is divided according to the structure for the bias line tires, radial tires. The fundamental difference between a radial tire and an oblique line tire is the carcass. The carcass of the oblique line tires is a sloping ply; and the carcass of the radial tire is a polymer multilayer crossover material with a top layer of steel striped cloth made of steel wire to reduce the tires The odds.
Q: My 1998 Toyota Camry XLE v6 has P195/70/R14 all season tires and since I put around 60 psi and nothing happens is still normal acceleration if high pressure tire.
Most of these answers are pretty terrible. During the engineering of the vehicle, the manufacturers engineers decide on a tire pressure based on many factors that are probably over my head. The manufacturer recommended tire pressure will be on a placard on the inside of the driver's door. If there is nothing there for some reason, 32 is where I'll usually go. You'll see lots of pressures, typically ranging from 27-36psi on passenger tires. Most passenger tires will have a max inflation pressure of 40-42 psi, some having a max pressure as low as 35 psi. This is not the recommended tire pressure for the tire (such a thing does not exist, as recommended tire pressure is based on vehicle, not tire). It is the MAX pressure that the tire can safely handle without separating from the wheel. Light truck tires are a different story. Vehicle with light truck tires may require pressures anywhere from 40-80 psi, but again, read the placard.
Q: My 2008 Honda has a dash light that comes on when a tire has low air pressure. How can it do that? The tires aren‘t hooked up to anything.
The tire pressure sensor doesn't actually measure the tire pressure. It uses the wheel speed sensor (part of the ABS) to measure very minute differences in rotational speed between all four tires. When it senses a difference from what a nominally good tire is, it will turn on the tire pressure light. Note that you will need to check the tire pressure in all tires, as it doesn't indicate which tire is the problem. Once the tire pressure is adjusted, reset the light according to the owner's manual. You'll also need to do this after changing to a spare.
Q: I‘m new to tubular and im looking to get a set of tires. Im looking at the xxx race lites but I cant really find any reviews online. So does anyone use these tires? how well do they work for racing?Thank you
cs I do. A good tire. I use mine with a Mr Tuffy and have had no road flats in over three years. Soccerref
Q: How much would it cost to replace my car tyres with solid tyres (to eliminate the need for replacements) ?
no such thing as solid rubber tires for a car. they run flat tires with very thick sidewalls. these run around 300 and some dollars each.
Q: Which kind these 2 tires last longer? I not know much about tires except that summer tires have more grip. And how long should they be changed(miles plz)?
lol u are kind of mixed up. winter/fall tires have more tread on them because of the snow and such. and normal summer/spring tires have less tread on them because they only need to deflect water and grab better on a dry/wet road but suck in the snow . if you plan to use one type of tire all year round get mediums or winter/falls since they are good enough in the summerspring and then you will be set for winter too
Q: i got a flat tire and road-side assistance switched out the flat one with the spare. it was a real tire spare not the donut kind. so should i keep driving on that spare, and buy a new tire to put in the trunk as a spare.or should i replace the spare with a new tire and put the spare back? Thanks
If the rim match. Then you can leave the spare on. If you have a tire that is wore more than the spare that was put on. Use that tire as the new spare. And replace the blow out tire. You want the best tires on the ground. Even if you hap to switch rims.
