Q: My car is in desperate need of 4 tires because the current tires are cracking. I need to buy all four, but I don‘t have enough money to buy new ones. I can buy tires with 4-5/32 and 5-6/32 for about $30-$35 a piece. Is that acceptable? What do the numbers mean? Also, does it matter if I use four different brands of tires provided they‘re the same size?
New tires generally have about 10/32 thread depth so these tires are about half worn. Don't know a thing about whether the price is good. It's not a good idea to mix and match tires, either by brand or thread design because it could effect handling.
Q: I need to buy me 2 tires for my mini van. I normally order it from Tire Rack and buy Bridge Stone tire. I have heard Toyota is doing free give away with purchase of tire, or tire kingdom is also doing some kind of free give away. I know I like Bridge Stone tire, and Tire Rack gives a great price.
You already know the answer my friend, I find tire rack is very knowledgeable and has a great selection at great prices. And I've never bought from them you could also try local tire specialty shops. I live in ontario and my city there are a couple of shops that only deal with tires and that's it.
Q: What is the safest/best tires pressure to keep my 2006 Nissan Altima at?
Current trend is to use Nitrogen inside the tires. More dense than regular air so pressures are more stable. But if you check your tires often you will be ok with good old fashioned air. The Tire plackard on the door jamb (some times under the console lid) is cold tire pressure. So add 3 or 4 psi after you drive and the tires warm up. Also there is a owners hand book section 8 page 39 all the way to page 50 continues to tell you about tire grades and DOT numbers and general information about tires. Depending on your car tires size Altima's use 29 to 35 psi cold pressures.
Q: Cars' and bikes', and airplanes'. All tires are always black
Car tires are not always black... think back to first to white wall tires, and then not so long ago there was a trend with tires aimed at import cars where colored bands were put along the tread (usually in yellow or red). The basic compounds used for tires result in a natural color that is "black." Much like cooper piping tends to be cooper colored. Using other elements that would better take color would not be optimal for the tread at the very least. While still possible, this would ultimately mean compromising many elements of the tires capabilities while at the same time increasing it's cost. I would imagine that tire companies have done market research to determine if people would be interested in paying more for a lesser tire, in the color they might prefer... and that current offerings reflect those results!
Q: Hi , i would like to know the optimal tyre pressure for Nissan Altima 1996 under standard conditions and under full load .
read your tire and keep it 2 to 3 lbs under what max says. Remember as your driving the tire heats up and so does the air inside the tire. When that happens your tires expand so always read your tire psi carefully so that you will never over fill and pop your tire
Q: What is the cost of replacing the car tires?
If it is not a transport enterprise, the cost is included in the management fee.
Q: Tire question
Several brands of tires are good. but Michelin are the best tires.
Q: what are the disadvantages of nitrogen filled tires?
Can't think of any. Air is made up of 79% Nitrogen anyway, the other 21% being about 20% oxygen and 1% inert gases so because these gases are not in the tyre ther should be no difference. Tne only disadvantage I can see is in finding a pump that only produces nitrogen and the cost involved. I mean you would have to buy pressurised canisters. I can't thinmk of any particular advantage either. There are millions upon millions of tyres filled with air so why not just use that.
Q: I have had what appears to be extensive tire pressure problems with my jetta. When I got it I drove it a few months about 2000 or so miles and then my tire pressure light came on. All the tires were low, and one tire was damaged, which was replaced. Now approximately 2 months/2500 miles later the light came on again, and all of them were low. Is this normal? My parents said I may have a defective rim, but why would all of them be low? haha If anyone else has a jetta with tire pressure problems or knowledge of this please help. thanks in advancePS: I live in 100 degree weather, so it‘s not from the cold.
Are you running the minimum Air pressure on the tires, Like 32 PSI, If I remember correctly the Minimum tire pressure for the TPMS is 31-32 before the light comes on. I had to bump mine up to 35 PSI to get the light to go off, and haven't had a problem with the tire going low. I could be as simple as using a higher (34 PSI) cold tire starting point. as the tires warm up the pressure will increase about 2 PSI when the tires warm up.
Q: Are large tires hard to control? Small tires needs to pedal more than large tires?I need bicycle that can ride safe at street.
This Site Might Help You. RE: Which is better? Bicycle with big tires or small tires? Are large tires hard to control? Small tires needs to pedal more than large tires? I need bicycle that can ride safe at street.
