- Q: state the meaning of the word additives by using word parts?
- Go to the aisle in the store where they sell wipers. There is a book (or 3) that is chained to the shelves and then you look up your car/truck by make (Ford) year (97) and model (F-150). the book(s) will tell you exactly which ones you need. Or go to nearly any gas station, and although you will pay a premium, they will do it for you and install them.
- Q: I have a transmission leak and cant afford to have it repaired.
- i'm in the business i recommend none of them i've seen what they do to the inside of the trans get a shop to look at the leak it might be cheaper to fix then add the additive that will ruin the trans and pay for a rebuilt later
- Q: is there a tobacco brand for cigarette rolling without any additives?
- yes. the ones that aren't made.
- Q: Are Food Additives Causing People to Act Crazy, Violence and Diseases?
- that was scary when i looked at those links you gave, g.d. now i will have to force myself to stop eating many of my favorite foods. i'll try writing the manufacturers, telling them i've stopped eating their foods with monosodium glutamate, etc. and asking them to cut it out. maybe when enough people realize how harmful those additives are, then the f.d.a. will order them removed from food. i hope so. otherwise i will be eating very little processed food from now on.
- Q: My car just came back from the mechanic and he told me to keep an eye on the transmission because sometimes when you set the car to reverse it takes awhile before it kicks in. He said it could be that it is sticking and needs more additives? But then we got distracted and I never got a chance to ask how the heck do I find out? By the way, my car was in for a different problem and I had specifically told him I only had money to fix that so that is why he didnt look further into the transmission thing. So anyway, here are a couple of questions:what is additives and how do i know if i need them?while we‘re at it, how do I check my transmission fluid? (just in case my mechanic didn‘t)if you have any other suggestions as to what this problem might be and how I can fix it, Id love to hear itIf it matters, I drive an 03 Dodge Intrepid that has about 80k.Thanks!
- Ok heres how your check the transmission fluid on a car. First drive the car and get it up to normal operating temperature. Then when you get home or where you are, leave the engine running and check the fluid. Now, if the reading is below the cross hatch marks. Then your had a half quart a time. After adding the transmission fluid then get back in the car and put it in reverse then drive and hold it in each gear for a few seconds. Then repeat process until the transmission fluid is full. More than likely its low. My car does that when its low on trans fluid. If the transmission fluid is not low then go to an autoparts store and get a bottle of lucas transmission additive, (The guy at the counter will help your find it) Then just add the whole bottle. Overfilling the trans by 1 quart wont hurt it. You will need to get a long skinny funnel or a transmission funnel from a parts store before you can add anything.
- Q: What are the food additives in ice cream?
- Summer, ice cream, ice and ice cream is difficult to resist the "cold temptation", but the quality of cold drinks around the report from time to time came. July 20, Henan Province Quality and Technical Supervision informed the results of the spot checks, there are nearly two percent of cold drinks failed.
- Q: I just bought a 1975 165 hp straight 6 merccruiser in a 21‘ Manatee boat. It‘s a Chevy 6 cylinder that Merccruiser modified for boating purposes. It runs perfect but since it‘s so old do I need to use a lead additive in the gas? I can‘t ask the previous owner as it was purchased at an estate sale.
- Nope. Your Mercruiser IL 6 was designed to run on 87 octane unleaded fuel. The elimination of leaded gasoline began in 1974, GMC and Mercruiser where already producing unleaded tolerant engines in 1972. Use no additives, unless you use your boat less than once a week. If you use your boat infrequently, it's a good idea to add the appropriate amount of fuel stabilizer, such as Mercurys' Stor-Clean. If you are using ethanol enhanced gasoline (E10, E15) , it's a good idea to install a water separating filter between the tank and the fuel pump. Because ethanol can erode older types of rubber that where used in fuel lines and fuel pump diaphragms, you might also add a clear filter between the fuel pump and the carburetor. If you have any rubber erosion, you will see black stuff in the filter, and you will need to upgrade your fuel lines and fuel pump.
- Q: does 0/4 have an additive or multiplicative inverse?
- One could argue that it does not have an additive inverse because you are looking for its opposite and since 0/4 0 and 0 is neither positive nor negative how can you find its opposite? It definitely does not have a multiplicative inverse because that refers to its reciprocal and if you flip 0/4 over you get 4/0 and you cannot divide by 0! Plus when you take a number times its multiplicative inverse you should get 1!!!
- Q: a. -2b. -1/2c. 2
- have you ever thought about a differential? what type of drive-line are you going to make to run an axle with 2 wheels?
- Q: has anyone tried the new ceramic oil additive? is it any good or no better than whats out there already. ive used lucas and engine restore but this is supposed to be the latest technology for oil.
- I have never heard of it,but none of that stuff has never worked for me so I just don't believe in any of it,just my opinion,,,,,,,,,
