Q: Gasoline prices keeps getting very expensive and i‘m concerned about my budget. If oil additives really works, how much will i save on my gasoline consumption?
There's tons of stuff to REALLY improve your gas mileage but oil additive is NOT one of them. The last time (last year) the gas price went up a local news did some report on how to improve the gas mileage. They did a basic tune-up. Changed the air filter. Got new spark plugs. Then they made sure the air tire pressure was correct. All that improved the mileage by about 10%. Sounds like a lot but that's only about 2 or 3 MPG. THEN they tried driving very slowly and mildly (no jack rabbit starts). The slower grandmother driving style improved the MPG by easiely 5 to 10 MPG extra !!! So you can do all that but in the end your driving habbit will improve or hurt your MPG the most. Good Luck. P.S. If your car is malfunctioning then it can run rich and that can cause your MPG to drop alot. ex: if your water temperature sensor is sending false temp (like too cold) making your car trying to warm up all the time. So it is very important to maintaine your car. Don't forget to vote for the BEST ANSWER - please - whoever it may be. FACT: You also get +3 points when you vote for BEST ANSWER
Q: this was done to me at a quick lube place and 200 miles down the road my engine locked up.
Was there oil in it at all? Almost sounds like they didn't put the drain plug on it. And yes, it depends on the additive, as they act like a cleaner, and tranny fliud doesn't hold up to the demands like engine oil does.
Q: What are the commonly used additives in beer production? What is the role?
A variety of stabilizers, itself does not react with beer, will not enter the finished product, used to improve beer non-biological stability: tannin, silica gel, PVPP, etc.
Q: If all this is used in our ground beef, and they say it is safe, does this remind anyone else of a movie called,Soy-lent Green? What‘s next? Will they chemically alter humans as additives? What are your thoughts on this Pink Slime ???
First, good call on Soylent Green. Both the movie and the book it was based on are excellent. Second, pink slime, and its varieties made of chicken and pork, have been around for decades. Anything that has mechanically separated . is pink slime made of beef, chicken or pork. (granted, chicken pink slime isn't pink.) I mean, what do you think McDonalds McNuggets are made of? Or the McRib? Lots of hotdogs use pink slime as well, as does pet food. Again, read the ingredients.
Q: are complimentary colors additive or subtractive primaries?
The complement of an additive primary is a subtractive primary, and vice versa. Thus the complementary primary pairs are: Add . . Sub red . cyan green . magenta blue . . yellow
Q: What is the amount of methanol gasoline additive?
One ton of additives can be very expensive, not a ton of methanol more than 2000 -3000, a ton of additives at least million
Q: and give 2 examples for each. pleaz help!
The additive inverse of the number x (call it x') is defined by x + x' 0, e.g. additive inverse of 4 is -4, additive inverse of -7 is 7. The multiplicative inverse of y (call it y) is defined by y*y 1, e.g. multiplicative inverse of 4 is 1/4, multiplicative inverse of -1/7 is -7.
Q: what law? when did it pass? and what changes to this law have been made?what was the most popular additve to gas and why?is it still being uesed and why?what %of dem voted for it ? what %of gop voted for it?
Hey Bro, Here is a link to help you find what you need to know. www.epa /otaq/fuels.htm Basically the additives are added in the winter to reduce carbon monoxide. Some states use ethonol, others use MTBE(which is being phased out)
Q: Car had had oil change a 1000 miles ago and was not scheduled for change for anothr2 thousand we have routine maintenance done 1998 ford escort LX 271,000 Ford did a 75 dollar full diagnostics check and told us it needed a tune up.sears was cheaper.we went and got it done.sears said they added some type of additive [[Ford found no problems before with engine just needed tune up and brake work front brakes brand new now]] car had a new weird vibartion to it after sears did tune upthey said they added some type of additive didn‘t say much else other then get a full tank of gas in it to help. Car broke down after driving less then a quarter of a mile.did they accidentally put oil in? did they put something in the oil which caused it? The ford place has it and quoute on quote said what the heck did sears do there is oil overflowed Please help
As i live in England, the only Sears i know of sell catalogues. The mistake you made was not going back to Sears when your car broke down. Ford will charge you to put right whatever Sears have done, and Sears won't pay for the work because Ford have 'messed' with the car. Now you will get Ford saying Sears did one thing and Sears denying it, with you, sadly, stuck in the middle. I know it doesn't help much, but you should always take your car to someone who you trust and always get a quote which contains the actual work to be done beforehand. Always ask to see any parts that have been replaced afterwards too. Any work needing to be done should always be asked for permission from you BEFORE it is done. You may have asked for a 'tune up', but they may have heard 'service'. A service usually includes an oil change. They may have put an additive such as Reddex into your tank. It is designed for cleaning out any build up in your fuel system. You would normally add a cap full when you fill up the tank. See if you can get a written report from Ford and take it to Sears to get some money back for whatever Ford charge you and some money off the Sears bill too. Had it been me and my car broke down after half a mile after collecting it, i'd have marched straight back to the garage and gone into EXTREME OFFENSIVE mode
Q: Can the food additive be used?
Less words okay, plus more will have an impact on health, I think the effect of tender meat and starch is almost the same, you are the cooking of the furnace.
