- It's surprising how virtually everyone except maybe 2 or 3 are wrong here. The correct answer is YES, BUT you will have to get the phone unlocked. You have two routes you can take: Route 1 - Stage 1 - Call T-Mobile and request the unlock code for the device. You will need to provide some basic account information, as well as basic information about the phone (which they will walk you through getting). Stage 2 - Wait for T-Mobile to get back to you with the code, and they will also provide directions on how to input the code. Route 2 - Find a vendor online who will unlock your specific device via IMEI or cable. If the IMEI solution is available, you can simply provide the phone's IMEI, which is used to unlock the device. If a cable solution is necessary, you will have to acquire a data cable and unlock this way. The majority of the time you will use the IMEI solution (very seldom does a cable solution become necessary) This should answer your question.

- Q: I have tried to send SMS messages using Yahoo messanger to my friend's mobile phone in India, both from Yahoo Messenger on my phone and my computer. He rarely receives the messages. Also, I have received notification of only one his messages on my mobile phone but couldn't open it to read it, and I have only received a handful of messages from him to my computer. How can I get this to work? And if there was something like he had to have responded to my first SMS before he can get anymore, how do I reset that so we can start again? - Not any phone company. Different carriers use different systems. Like cdma and gsm.Sprint, Virizon, and alltell are services that use cdma, which is basically an internal built sim. Some carriers offer a flash service that enables you to use their carrier, however once flashed your phone will only be able to be with that carrier. ATT once activating your phone will block it from being used anywhere else.Hope this helps.
