Q: i tried using 1800-reverse on my mobile hone today because i had no credit and it didn't work, when i got home i tried on my LAN-phone and it worked. i live in south Australia, is there a different number for mobiles?: it depends on how responsible the child is. If they are forgetful or irresponsible than no way. It is a good thing to keep tabs on them at all times though but keep in mind they won't answer it half of the time! It depends if they are responsible enough not to raise the minutes through the roff or constantly text other kids!! I made a huge mistake with my step-son at 15!!!! get a pre-pay phone!!!! If he runs out of minutes then oh well wait until you get more!! My bill was through the roof!!!!

Q: I have a plan under sprint and my sister has broken her phone then lost my old back up phone. can i buy a cheap prepaid virgin mobile phone and activate it for sprint? please no jokes about using other carriers, sprint is the only thing that has any good signal where i live (nowhere).: No you can't at this time. It might be possible in the future as Sprint just bought out Virgin Mobile as of last month and they will take at least another six months integrating the two operations. Right now, Sprint only allows Sprint phones and Virgin Mobile only allows Virgin Mobile phones Btw, Virgin Mobile runs on the Sprint network ANYWAY, maybe you want to just buy a Virgin Mobile phone and run it on Virgin Mobile seeing as it is the same as Sprint (except for no roamingbut if Sprint is the only network that works in your area anyway, roaming is not an issue because that involves other carriers besides Sprint.). Virgin Mobile has better prices then Sprint anyway. If you are stuck with the Sprint plan, find a cheap used Sprint phone via Craigslist or OKorder and make sure that the esn/electronic serial number is clean (email the seller on OKorder and find out what the number is first, call Sprint customer care and check to make sure it is clean/not stolen/lost or has money owed to Sprint on it). If it is good to go, buy it. You should be able to activate it on Sprint.

Q: Are unlocked mobile phones (of the same model) more expensive than mobile phones that are not unlocked?: yes, typically. unlocked phones can be used with pretty much any sim card as long as it works with the GSM. locked phones only work for one carrier. i.e verizon, sprint, etc. example, a sidekick might cost $50 with a 2 year plan yet it would cost probably around $150-200 to buy it unlocked.

Q: If you have a t-mobile phone you know that your phone sometimes says other services than t-mobile under the service indicator. Because when your t-mobile service is down the netowrk works off of the other towers. Anyway, my t-mobile service is always two bars or less in my home area. I use to be able to work off of cellularone and att but now it says SOS. How do I make it not say SOS so I can work off of the stronger tower in my area? If I won't be able to make it stop, how can I boost my t-mobile service? Don't say get another phone cause I can't. I'm under two year contract. Or does a comair form a faraday cage (im thinking now of everyone who immediately busts out their mobile as the flights lands,,,)??Essentially what avionics package does a mobile operating 800/900/1800/1900 (and whatever other common rf mobiles use) interfere with?: Jet Doc is correct, the cell phone restriction is an FCC regulation - cell phones are licensed for ground usage. Cell phones operate on line of site, and once airborne your phone can see and connect to hundreds of towers at once, not the 2 or 3 connections the network was designed for. The restriction dates back to to time when cell phones were not as common, and the network not as capable. The FCC considered removing the ban, but most of the public comment was in favor of continuing the ban. It turns out no one wants to be forced to listen to the stranger in the next seat run their yap . The current ban is more an enforced courtesy than a technical requirement. The FAA does ban all electronics during take off and landing, and cellphones have very limited service in cruise, as the altitude is typically greater than the range of the phone. Even if FCC ban is lifted, there would only be a limited time in the flight were they could be used

You all might want to easily feel free that your getting infinite records/texting/digital mail for in simple terms 35 money a month, the international received't end in simple terms because the texting service has gone down for what ever reason. So dont bash the employer it is giving you this tremendous value, i have had Virgin for 2 years now and it is in simple terms the second one time that any service has gone down, so human beings in simple terms relax and digital mail human beings in case you quite cant stay without texting

Q: I'd love to use T-Mobile's flexpay monthly plan, sounds like a wonderful deal. Unfortunately the phones compatible with T-Mobile are ridiculously expensive. I don't need a phone that can GPS navigate me, play music, or surf the web. Why do you think I have a stereo and a computer? Those features would be nice, but they're just a luxury. All I really want is a functional phone that has T-Mobile as a carrier. So what is the cheapest T-Mobile carrier phone?: Go green and get the Samsung (?) Renew. It's about $30.

Q: I just got a new mobile phone contract today and its my first one :)i got it of t-mobile and i was wondering if anyone knows how long it is until you can start using your texts and minutes of your contract?? like can you start using them straight away or do you have to wait a few days? cos i checked my balance on my phone and it said zero, but i'm not sure if that's just because it is the middle of the monthcan anybody tell me :D ha ha x: If you bought your contract today you should be able to use the phone straight away but sometimes it's not as smooth as that. You might have to register online and check that a payment has gone to T-Mobile, or sometimes the network just wants you to register before you can use your phone. It can sometimes take sometime for your balance to come through. When I got my contract it took about 5 days to start because there were some technical problems. If your balance doesn't increase within 2 days, ring T-Mobile.
