Q: If you have good service around your house, What are the disadvantages to having solely a mobile phone?: After 6 weeks of not having cell phone service it bothers me because I got so use to calling from anywhere on cell phone. Then I always have to remember the Very high cost just to talk and when put on hold your prime time minutes are just eaten away. Land line service to me is very cheap. Long and short distance unlimited at $33- via Comcast I can't beat. My only drawback is I have to be home for calls.

Here is why the Shuttle is better: (+) Shuttle camera is 1.3 megapixel camera, Slash is just VGA (+) Shuttle can record video, Slash cannot (+) Shuttle is 3G speed and uses EVDO (this is Virgin Mobile's first EVDO 3G phone) (+) Shuttle has a music player (Slash does not) (+) Shuttle has removable memory, Slash does not (+) Shuttle is much quicker than Slash This is why the Shuttle is better :-) If you are planning of getting either one of these, it would be best to get the Shuttle, the higher price is worth it. I am planning on getting one!!

Like if you talk alot and will continuously use your phone, a blackberry would be good, but if you just want something to talk on than a cheap samsung will do just that
