If so,go to their name and right click and go to contact details, enter their mobile phone number, then you will be able to send them text messages(SMS message) or if they have yahoo messenger on their mobile phone, you can send them an instant message that way just like if they were on the computer. Or if they are not on your messenger contact list, then go to actions drop down menu at the top of your messenger window, and from there you can send an instant message, an SMS message, and some other stuff. But under SMS message, there are two tabs shown. One is for your messenger contacts and the other is for other contacts-for example if the friends you want to send a text message to are not on your messenger contact list, this is the tab you want. When you click on the other contact tab, there will be a box you can enter someone's mobile phone number to send them a text message from your messenger. I hope this helps.
