- Q: I am confused about this figure because some equipments have 230 Volts AC (50 Hz) specified as their operating voltage while some others have 240 V AC (Hz). I practically measured the supplied voltage. It was something like 235 V AC. So I am confused about the standard figure. Is it 230 V AC or 240 V AC ?
- If you measured the supply you must be in India. Why don't you call the electricity supply people and ask them what their official figure is? You should also ask them within what limits the variation is controlled. The difference in the figure stated on an item of electrical equipment, i.e. 230 vs 240, is irrelevant. They all will have a margin, maybe plus or minus 10 or 15%, within which they will work satisfactorily.
- Q: Hey, I need to find out different electrical equipment used in a Beauty Salon and I can hardly think of anything! I can only think of wax pots and tanning beds :S Any other suggestions? - Q: all electrical equipment goes dead in car. If disconnect battery, then again appears to have electrical power, no fuses in panel or battery relay blown, but ignition clicks once and all electrical out again in car and starter does not engage.
- Starter problem it sounds like. Starter solenoid more likely. Take a pry bar of some sort, place it on the starter solenoid if you can reach it, and tap on it while someone else turns the key. If that doesn't work, remove the starter, and replace it.

- You need multiple tables. Using int() auto_increment primary keys for linking each section of data you want something like : stock_codes ( id int(6) primary key auto_increment, stock_code varchar(45) unique key, stock_description varchar(45), stock_qty int(6), suppler_id int(6) ) stock_movement ( id int(6) primary key auto_increment, in_date date, out_date date, moved_qty int(6), stock_id int(6), ) It helps to have tables of suppliers details, client details, sales person details, department details etc. If items have possible alternative suppliers you dump the supplier_id from the stock codes and use a link table for the stock id and supplier id to identify each inward transaction. Add tables for any additional information using links from the other tables to co-ordinate the data.
- Q: All of my US electrical equipment has had it's wattage determined to provide the proper transformer to use. Transformers were bought to support between a third and half of the load that would be demanded. I am not using multiple devices which would cause overload. My TV (395W) only clicks once (like the sound of a relay) when plugged into the 3000W 220-120 step down transformer and never turns on. The transformers are tripping the breaker of the apartment now. I was assured there would be no problems taking my US equipment to Amsterdam and using transformers. Some light on this subject would be appreciated. I can't imagine everyone has this trouble, or there wouldn't be companies in the US in this business.
- I think the transformer is faulty. From my experience whether 50Hz or 60Hz power supply is ok for the TV. BTW did u press the on button on the TV or CH+/- button to switch on ?? ----just joking. To me everything seems ok except the transformer check if it is damaged

- I don't care what people say, electrical equipment and the energy such equipment gives off is not good for you. Take a few hours to go read a book, take a walk or even just a nap. Then, try limiting your time on the computer to as few hours as possible until you begin to feel better; it took me over a month to get back to 'normal' from a bout of computer-induced 'depression.' Good luck.
- Q: Basically a reptile shop is selling some dangerous equipmet which I have brought. These include a un-ballasted fluorecent bulb unit (some home made unit using a plug a terminal and 2 end caps) (the vivarium looks burnt) (I wonder why :P) and they sold us a second hand starter unit (ballasted) which stank of smoke and had a 13 amp fuse however should have had a max 3 amp fuse. They are very un-knowledgeable about reptiles and the fuse to the starter unit looked burnt on the ends. I'm just worked about the safety of others who buy their equipment from there as I know for a fact most of it's dangerous. They sold me a 30w starter unit for a 15w bulb which I brought from them at the same time, any ideas who to contact about this unsafe store (I'm in the uk) thanks. :)
