Q: I have some basic questions about SketchUP and AutoCAD.I'm totally new to 3D software and was planning to enroll in an AutoCADcourse before I found SketchUP and found out some self training with thefree tutorials might give me some good handicap before I go to the more advanced stage. My question is : Is it possible to transfer without any issue (bugs, etc.) a 3D file from SketchUP to Autocad and continue the work in AutoCAD, or vice-versa?What would be the best way for someone like me (that knows almost nothing) to get started?andwhat would be the best figures to start drawing for someone who eventually plans to design mainly electrical heavy equipments? Thanks a lot.
Designing these structures means you're an advanced designer. How come you couldn't decide what software to use? Using SU is easy when you design in 3D, and Autocad for 2D drafting.
Q: i have a situation with my computer i don't know what it is but i have done a lot of test so please help me identifying this and how to solve it My build: CPU: i7 5820k MOBO: x99 g1 gaming 5pPSU: seasonic m12 750wGFX: g1 gaming gtx 980 ti
So what is the safety issue here? Lacking some details as to what the problem is.
Q: Do electronic engineers make audio equipment like headphones, amps, and speakers? And do you learn this in engineering schools in college?
Yes and No. Although all electronic engineers should have the basic knowledge, you can nowadays find that hardware engineers tend to specialise in either digital or analog electronics. A typical digital hardware engineer may struggle, while an analog engineer certainly can design audio equipment. I doubt that electrical engineers could do the job, they are specialised in power distribution.
Q: I want to open a electrical contracting business down in Brisbane or Sydney after i have done my apprenticeship and had a thew years of experience I'm 16(Australia).Possibly even higher a thew lecky and also sell stuff like inverters etc. electrical equipment. The business would service the commercial side more then the domestic side.would this be a viable business or not.and would it be possible to make any money out of this to look after my family and look after my own family. Perhaps a couple hundred thousand a yearor would it be better to just go to the mines By the way i do study business organization and management plus economics so i have a general idea of what would be required like a very detailed business plan etc.

Q: i replaced my home theater system thinking it was busted but when i recieved my new one it still had the same buzzing sound i noticed the buzz is in the bedroom too
It sounds like somewhere in your electrical you either have a bad ground, or there is a florescent lamp or some other piece of electrical equipment causing the noise. Surge protectors will only help with an electrical surge, a power conditioned is what is used to remove noise from electrical lines. Check the different electrical equipment in the house by turning things off or unplugging them and check if the noise goes away, if not it could be in your electrical system or some kind of outside interference. If you still issues purchase a surgex power conditioner and that should take care of your issue.
Q: I was thinking of making a video game collection, I allready have a big one but only containing systems and games with CDs. But no collection is complete without the retro NES or SNES or the old school consoles with cartridges. My question is where would be a good place to store them? Because god knows how difficult it is to find a complete set with the box and Manuel and everything so I'll have to deal with just buying the cartridge. If you could help out I greatly appreciate it!
you always wanna store any kind of electrical equipment in a cool dry place. when it comes to Nes stuff same thing, if you really wanna make sure they will be good to go use a tote container or plastic cooler. something with a sealable possibly water proof lids. i have all my nintendo stuff sitting in a red igloo cooler in my storage unit. it has been there for over three years now and nothing wrong. just make sure you use a qtip and some alcohol to clean the pins up nice before placing in any system. you dont wan any dust that might have collected to go inside your machines.
Q: I am living in a state where there is lots of Electricity cut off in other words the Loadshedding. When I listen to radio on short wave and medium wave during no electricity ON in our town, it plays well and clear. But when electricity comes its totally inaudible because of too much noise like srrrrrrr, shrrrrrrr, trrrrrrrr. Means I have to turn my radio off. My question is what thing does this cause??
Some electrical item in your house or close by is radiating EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). The frequencies of this EMI are the same as the radio broadcasts but much stronger - swamping them. Hence you just here the noises you do. You should try switching off your electrical items one by one to identify the culprit. If it is not an item in your house, then there's probably not much you can do.

Q: i am instrument electrical eng.student and i am about to take 2 of the 4 subject for electives, here the subject:1)process control2)automation and robotic3)measurement and instrumentation4)control system 3i am thinking to involve in maintainance, oil and gas or maybe aircraft maintainance.after grad.what is the subject is suitable and what is the subject advantage and disadvantage. i want get some advice before make the decision.tq
Well. it is very good major Oil and Gas companies need ur major since the instrumentation is controlling the whole units. Huge Essential System and very critical in any refinery such as: DCS : Digital Control Center. ESD: Emergency Shutdown. UPS: Uninterrupted Power Supply ( Electrical Equipment feeds instrument load) I think u have a bright future with this discipline if you have interests . And regarding these Subjects, i dont know much about control All the best
Q: If a 3 phase motor is driving a load say a gear box, compressor, or fan (Non Electrical piece of equipment) Does the load in this case gear box, compressor, or fan required a safety ground? The motor has its own safety ground
If there is no electrical connections to them then grounding is optional.
