I would suggest getting a wooden bed instead of the metal one. I believe it will last longer. Good luck! As for your daughter climbing out of her crib...it seems that the low bunk bed would make more sense and be safer.

- I don't believe in making beds. I think it's a waste of time. There are two rules with beds: 1. No food or drink other than water may be consumed in your bed 2. Bedding has to stay off the floor These rules are obeyed at all ages. My kids sometimes make forts and stuff on their bed during the day, and I don't mind. I don't make my bed either. I imagine the age would vary based on your expectations though. If you just want them to throw the covers over loosely, then probably around 3-4 they could do that. If you expect hotel -quality, maybe closer to 7-8.

A Dr. can check to make sure it is not a physical delay and recommend a psychologist if he feels it is an emotional problem. My friends son was a bed wetter and I went with her to the Dr. when she had him checked. He needed counselling due to the broken home, new man and baby etc. He is doing alot better now.
