- Q:We have had our own barn for about two months..and it's absolutely lovely..except for our arena footing. It's sand, but way too deep. My horse sinks up to his coronet in it. I'm worried about possible injuries from this..especially since we are planning on jumping. If I had to estimate how many inches it is..I'd say 4-6. My trainer said to just keep dragging it with our little metal drag which we pull with a quad..but I feel like its not doing anything to solve our problem. I've tried talking to my dad to get the excavator to come back and remove some sand, but he doesn't have the money right now to do that. Is there any other way I can get rid of the sand, or spread it out so it's not so deep? Has anyone else had this problem?
- Weigh down your drag, or do it the old fashioned way and shovel some out and keep dragging until its level. But sand that deep will blow suspensory ligaments so fast it will make your head spin, so it may be easier to convince your dad that a guy with a bobcat is cheaper than the vet bills it can cause.
- Q:I really want to work in mining industry but I wear distance eyeglasses, both are minus 1. I want to be operator of truck or excavator.
- Who cares what corrective glasses you wear? As for working just about anywhere, you will be tested to confirm that you have 20/20 vision WITH corrective glasses. In a mine, as everywhere else where things may move or fly around, you will be required to wear certified shatter proof protective glasses. You can buy them from any optician's store. Go for it. Make your application
- Q:There's a huge construction site (buildings being torn down) that I drive by on my way to work, and it's full of various heavy equipment. I'm fascinated by the excavators, because they remind me of giant, toothy quot;mouthsquot; on the end of long arms. It's also interesting to see how precisely they can chomp, lift and/or move things with their quot;jawsquot;. (I know, they're actually called buckets, heads and/or attachments, but I like the metaphor of mouths and jaws. *grin*)I was just curious how easy or difficult excavators are to operate? I'm guessing they're more challenging than some pieces of construction equipment. Hopefully at least some folks here have experience using them. Thanks and have a great weekend! :)
- wow....you sure have an obsession starting there...lol anyway, it's not too hard to get the basics down, how to move the different mechanisms, but you need to have lots of practice before you do anything that requires precision. One wrong move and all that horsepower can make big damage! And they're like most pieces of heavy equipment...they're very challenging to operate well. I have some experience pipelining, so I have seen lots of operators. Most have to have years of experience before they're really good. Its tough to get someone to show you how if you're not being paid....you can rent tiny ones at some rental places if you really want to give it a try! pick a wide open space, and remember, you have to have the ground searched for buried pipelines, electrical lines, phone, water and sewer, etc before you dig.
- Q:Can I use excavator substrate for my leopard gecko?
- Any type of loose substrate for a leopard gecko runs the risk of impaction, I would not recommend it for the safety of your gecko. Reptile carpet once full grown or paper towels or tile can be used.
- Q:HOW TO BECOME AN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTRACTOR EXCAVATION IN TEXAS?
- Well, to become an environmental excavation first you have to be land. Oh, I think you mean excavator. Then you'd need excavation experience and excavation equipment (backhoes and such). You'd probably need certification of some kind. For government jobs (the most common) you'd probably need to bid on a project, and they take the best bid. Texas government sites should have specific information on this. Knowledge of soil types, environmental habitats, erosion control, etc. would be useful.

- Q:please let me know
- A heavy equipment operator is needed in several key businesses that I'm sure you know. Excavators, mining companies, construction, demolition, etc. A big part of creating your business is the ability to sell yourself and your services to the right companies. Think of it this way - somehow, maybe not too long ago you applied for a job doing heavy equipment operation. They hired you - why? Whatever you did to convince your employers is also the skill you can use to convince businessmen to utilize your operator services on a contract basis. You should research if contracting as an operator is needed and if it pays more than just going after regular employment. Good luck.
- Q:What's the difference between backhoe and backhoe?
- What's the difference between backhoe and backhoe?:1 、 according to the difference between the excavation route and the transportation vehicle, there are two ways to dig and unload the soil: forward excavation, lateral unloading, forward excavation and reverse dumping2, the backhoe digging is "back down, forced soil cutting, the stress ratio of mining shovel can stop a small, excavation to three below the soil surface, suitable for the foundation pit, foundation ditch, trench excavation depth is less than 4m, but also for soil excavation, wet soil with high moisture and underground below the water level of the underground water level is high and the soil. The backhoe running way of ditch excavation and end side of the ditch excavation in two.Grab: digging characteristic is "straight up and down, cut the weight of soil, suitable for narrow and deep excavation pit mud or water, especially suitable for cutting under water, the soil is hard not grab construction.Pull shovel: the characteristics of excavation is "back down, self weight cut soil". Its excavation radius and excavation depth are larger, and it can dig the soil below the stopping surface. It should be used for excavation of large and deep foundation pit or underwater excavation.
- Q:Hi I am a Canadian Citizen, 21 years of age, and have graduated a private career college dealing with heavy equipment operation: Bulldozers, Graders, Backhoes, Loaders, and Excavators. I am thinking of joining the Canadian Military for 3 years and then moving to the UK to live there permanently. My wife is 19 and she has the same aspirations and qualifications. We do not have criminal records. My question is, what do I have to do to move to the UK legally, and reside there permanently? How long does it take, from start to moving time, and would I be able to get in on the basis of the certification I hold, or would I just have to wait until I serve 3 years in the Canadian military first?
- First off, getting a visa to work or stay in the UK is extremely hard nowadays. The minimum requirements that you need is a recognized master's degree, earnings of at least ?20,000 over a 12 month period in your home country (Canada in this case), as well as a certain amount in your bank account for 3 months. This is called the Tier 1 visa, which after being granted, allows you to move to the UK and look for work, but has to renewed every 3 years. The other way is to find a company to sponsor your work visa (Tier 2). However, this is a difficult route as the company needs to show the authorities that they are unable to recruit someone from the UK or EU with suitable skills, and not many employers are willing to go through the hassle of Tier 2 visa s.
- Q:NEW ORLEANS - Thieves hauled off $100,000 worth of heavy equipment that was being used to help build a Lower Ninth Ward memorial to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. A Bobcat excavator and a Bobcat T300 Skid Steer Loader, both of which require trailers or flatbed trucks to transport, were removed from the site sometime between midnight and 6:30 a.m. Saturday, construction company officials said.In the neighborhood that remains nearly pitch black at night almost a year after the levees failed, the equipment didn't last three days at the site. Can you really blame them???? Almost a year and no fucin homes put up and some assholes are tryin to build a memorial for the dead people (no disrespect) and sayin fuc the ones that are alive, I would have stole the equipment too. Why the hell are they even building a memorial in a town where anyone that its quot;SUPPOSEDquot; to be for isnt even there to see it because they are out of a home and jobs, what the fucs the purpose????
- I think the equipment could have been used to build something else after they built the monument.
