Q: Ok so i play some pretty high demand games as far as graphics and processing go and my current set up is just...meh and dealing with it. The video card is pretty out dated and its just time to get a new one. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions before i start buying or building a new one(yay for being a computer science major lol)I don't need anything too out there but something with some nice OOMPH would be great
the answer is to build your own computer. for CPU, i would suggest an AMD am3 Phenom ii x4, and for VGA, i would suggest and AMD Radeon 5770. AMD is coming out with a new CPU called &bulldozer& so prices on phenom ii x4's should drop upon launch, and as for the VGA, radeon 6000 series graphics cards are out but the 5770 should offer the best bang for the buck. when you build your own computer, you can also salvage parts from your old computer such as optical drives, HD, and maybe even memory if its compatible that is.
