Q: what are some dental supplies?
Toothpaste, toothbrush, floss and mouthwash.
Q: any suggestions gratefully recieved
with the idle being slightly higher I would suspect the temp sending unit. that is if it serves as the computer temp reading sensor, if not then look for the one that does operate with the computer. if not that then I would look for a vacuum leak
Q: what OSHA Specific code is applicable to heavy equipment inspection? For example; crane standard 29 CFR 1926.55. I wan to know the codes related to the following equipment inspection:1) Backhoe or hydraulic excavator2) Bulldozer3) Motor Grader4) Vibratory compactor5) Payloader6) Dumpt Trucks7) All heavy equipment/off-road equipment
OSHA is about occupational safety - sounds like your question refers to equipment maintenance. On the other hand, for example, if the reverse alarm (beep, beep, beep) is non functional on your heavy equipment, then it is an OSHA violation because it is jeopardizing the safety of workers.
Q: We hired an excavator. PD $1500 cash first day then check for $2000. Then $600 cash for jack hammer. He was 3/4 done. Asked for remainder to pay his employees. Husband wrote check. Excavator booked. Won't return calls. Check bounced accidentally. Don't think we should pay til job done. Are we liable for paying cuz check bounced? Is it considered a crime on our part?I thought god was looking outfor us ssince they didn't finish job.thanks
He can always take you to court and sue you.
Q: some retraining as his 43year old body just can not operate heavy equipment anymore. I have been looking into other career choices for him that do not require much schooling due to his limitations. Would anybody out there have any suggestions. He has a bad back so keep that in mind as you answar. At this point, it doesn't matter if he needs to travel out of state. Thank you.
if he is technically inclined, get him to attend a evening technical college
Q: I'm looking for a 2.5 tire for a sick hefty AM almost FR hardtail...(probably a Transition Vagrant)... I wanted something wide, predictable and that would really hook up on just about everything... I couldn't decide between the 2 tires so I'm thinking maybe Kenda in the rear, WTB in the front???
I love the Weirwolfs....not too crazy about them on the front because they kick up crap all over my legs, but it's a great tire. I run it on the rear. A couple friends of mine didn't like the way they cornered because they said they could feel the bumpiness of the gaps in the corner knobs....I've never noticed it and they do great for me. Excavators are pretty aggressive....very different than the Weirwolf. If you have loamy or sandy/loose soil they'll hook up great. Kinda rough on the trails, though, so if you don't need the big knobs, maybe gear down a notch. Maxxis Highrollers or WTB Prowlers are worth looking at, and there are still a lot of people riding IRC Trailbears, too. Intense makes some great tires....definitely worth looking at.
Q: What does an operating engineer do?Would their salary be the same as a regular nuclear engineer?I only wanted to get a bachelors degree and nuclear engineering looked the most interesting to me, but then I found out that with a bachelors in nuclear engineering you can only be an operating engineer..
Operating engineers operate heavy construction equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, pavers, trench excavators and many other kinds of equipment used for constructing buildings, dams, airports and highways. They also work in the sand and gravel, cement and asphalt industries; in the shipyards; on the water with dredges; oil refineries; oil pipelines; sewer and water construction; ports of major cities; municipal work with cities and counties; landscaping; scrap metal work; and the forest products industry. Operating engineer apprentices can also work in the mechanical field as heavy-duty truck and equipment mechanics and in the field of technical engineer (surveyor). Hope that helps, I'm really sorry I couldn't find any info on the salaries.
Q: Does anyone know what this mining tool is called? and what its used for?
Ore and Mining Equipment Bucket-wheel excavators Bucket-wheel excavators are heavy equipment used in surface mining and civil engineering. They are among the largest vehicles ever constructed, and the biggest bucket-wheel excavator ever built, Bagger 293, is the largest terrestrial vehicle in human history
Q: EXCAVATOR CLAY BUROWING SUBSTRATE, or VITA-SAND
I would get either Vita-Sand or Calci-Sand because even if they are accidentally swallowed, they provide either vitamins or calcium!
Q: Ok, so the simple quot;unbolt the rod end plate, slide out the ram and replace the sealquot; isnt quite what I'm looking for.The ram is on a JCB excavator and holds probably 10 or 20 litres of fluid (which I dont want to just throw on the floor), also its 15 feet up in the air. What I hope you will be able to tell me is method, like: 1 disconnect hydraulic couplings at the piston (plug pipe to digger unit. 2 connect manual hyraulic pump to expel fluid. 3 remove clevis pins... etc. etc how to bleed (if necesary)remember this thing is big, heavy and not easy to get at.
well you pretty much either going to have to manhandle it or used something as big to get it down to the ground taking it apart is about what you think not really much to any of them but the size..... but once you get the thing off just what the order the seals come out and pretty much replace the same way sorry replacing the seals is not hard its get it where you can work on it.... man ive done a few when i was logging and they all about the same will be o rings and packing seals.... im sure you can do it but get it on the ground
