Description
Ferro Silicon is a kind of ferroalloy which is composed of ferrum and silicon. Ferro Silicon uses coke, quartz
(or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furnace. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound
into SiO2, the ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steelmaking.
Features
1. Fesi 75% is often used as deoxidizer in steel- making.
2. Ferrosilicon also can be used as alloy elements join agent, which is widely used in low alloy steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steels and electrician silicon-steel.
3. It can be used as a reductant in ferroalloy production and chemical industry.
4. In iron industry it can be used as inoculant and nodulizer.

- Q: I don‘t have any additional details, but any ideas?
- Chromium hydroxide is amphoteric, so adding excess alkali will dissolve the chromium, but not the iron. There are some key terms for you to look up!
- Q: If so, how have geologic events played a role in forming this ore?
- A Ceramic resistor or a stone resistor is another name for it they are use for high voltage current and why it is called seramic and or stone resistor is cause it looks like a stone material but it is not really stone it is a cement/plastic mixture I think (not sure what the cassing is made of but a resistor is a resistor all the way around sounds just as it works resist -a certain amount of current
- Q: it comes from iron ore right?any random extra information would be nice.
- Dont feel like reading all that, but its probably just all the gaskets and factoring coating burning off. Things usually have a weird small after getting heated for the first times.
- Q: What is the reducing agent.a Fe3+b.Fec.O2-d C2+is it b. help please
- iron is being reduced by taking electrons from. the reducing agent CO
- Q: please explain it like I am a Christian
- Because ore can't have little ore babies which are slightly different in every generation. Even if it did there'd be no guarantee that a USB-drive would emerge.
- Q: what r some things made of iron atomic mass 26 and symbol Fe.i would really appreciate your help!!
- Very few things are made of pure Fe. A great many things are made of Fe alloys, Fe combined with other elements. We are very fortunate here on earth because the earth has a lot of iron ore and, with some metallurgical know-how, it can be converted into steel alloys and given a tremendous variety of physical properties. Your refrigerator magnets are probably made using ferrite (Fe oxide), if the magnets stick to your fridge, it is made of steel (Fe-C alloy), if it sticks to your kitchen sink, it is probably stainless steel, the heating elements in your toaster are resistance wire which is an Fe alloy. Much of the structure of a car is steel as are rail road rails, I beams for bridges and buildings, ships, the list goes on and on. If a magnet sticks to it, it is probably an Fe alloy.
- Q: They sell iron ore, plastics and miscellaneous goods.
- Hi check out this link. I think they are a spam email company 72.14.253.104/search?qcache:U-UY.
- Q: how do lake freighters get iron ore to pittsburgh?
- The ships unload in Erie or Cleveland and it goes by train. Some ore comes by train all the way from Minnesota. And do note that very little steel is now made in Pittsburgh.
- Q: Coal based DRI
- see what temperatures physical properties change at for melting and then look at the phase diagram (temperature vs %weight)
- Q: i'm doing an project and i just can't get it. Can someone please help!
