Description
Ferro Silicon is a kind of ferroalloy which is composed of ferrum and silicon. Ferro Silicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furnace. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, the ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steelmaking.
Application
1. Ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steel- making.
2. Ferrosilicon also can be used as alloy elements join agent, which is widely used in low alloy steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steels and electrician silicon-steel.
3. It can be used as a reductant in ferroalloy production and chemical industry.
4. In iron industry it can be used as inoculant and nodulizer.

- Industrial Metal mostly from here in Europe started in the 80s. It is a mixture of electronica and heavy metal. Some of the better bands include Pitchshifter, Ministry, Godflesh, KMFDM, Mushroomhead, Fear Factory. Edit: I recommend Triad by Pitchshifter and Destruction by Pitchshifter as starting points. Pitchshifter are very popular UK band.

- I'd have probably included a subgenre even ffuffier than heavy metal, I'd call it Melodic Metal and include bands such as Impelliteri, TNT, Takara, Jeff Scott Soto, Jorn Lande. I personally think Power Metal deserves its own genre just because of the scope of it. There are so many bands that fall within that group like Blind Guardian, Edguy, Sonata Arctica, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Iced Earth. Scott definately knows his metal though and can't disagree with his assessment of the subgenres of metal.
