- Well...screamo, emo, punk, core aren't metal dude. They're just scene kid music. Real metal subgenres are stuff like death metal, black metal, doom metal, thrash metal, power metal, and their many subgenres aswell..melodic black metal, symphonic black..etc. There are many good bands out now, under these subgenres...if you've never heard of them you should definitly check 'em out dude. - Q:So I got the metal gear solid legacy collection for the ps3. It has two disks, disc one is metal gear solid 4 guns of the patriots. - I'd say Pantera. I can't think of any bands prior who were termed as 'groove metal'. These guys created groove metal as a departure from pop metal and glam rock, making metal less 'mainstream' (hair bands were reaaaaalllly popular), and real. Dimebag Darrell (guitarist) was a main influence.

- Mercury is a metal by definition. Its conductivity (and as such, its lustre) make it fall into the category of metal. Just because mercury is liquid does not make it any less of a metal. All metals turn into a liquid at a sufficiently high temperature; Mercury's melting point is just low in comparison.
