Calcium Silicon Powder

1. Description:

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.

Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:

(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.

(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.

(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.

(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

Q:like table 13-16 but do you count the metals AND metalloids ?
Of course, everyone knows about the originators of heavy metal: Black Sabbath Led Zeppelin Deep Purple
Q:And how is it different from death metal?BQ: Do you like death or black metal better?
I'm a 15 year old girl and love heavy metal, new and old.
Q:Can someone please give me a BRIEF, EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND explanation of the following metal music genres and an example of a band for each one? (Or at least just some of them please)Alternative metal Avant-garde metalBlack metal Christian metal Death metal Doom metal Drone metal Extreme metalFolk metal Glam metal Gothic metal Groove metal Heavy metalIndustrial metal Metalcore Neo-classical metal Nu metal Pirate metalPost-metal Power metal Progressive metal Rap metalSludge metal Speed metal Stoner metal Symphonic metalThrash metal Viking metal Also, which genre do you think is best?Thank You!!!!!!!
Im okorder
Q:oh and without metal core and death metal bands, thanks.
Metal. You can't spell crap without rap.
Q:Are you very much into metal? What else are you into besides metal? What got you into metal?
MELODIC DEATH METAL: Archeon Made of Hate Orphan Hate Arch Enemy Eternal Tears of Sorrow Carcass Children of Bodom Darkest Hour In Flames (early work) Wintersun Scar Symmetry Frozen Eternity NUMETAL: Sevendust Otep Kittie GOTHIC METAL: Epica (symphonic) Tacere Lacuna Coil Sunterra Chalice Distorted (gothic/Melodeath) Demether FOLK METAL: Eluveitie Tyr Ensiferum Svartsot Folkearth Echo of Dalriada Karlahan Battlelore HEAVY METAL: Storm Warrior Gallows End the Sword Iron Maiden POWER METAL: Iced Earth Kamelot Sonata Arctica Nightwish Avantasia Firewind Stratovarius DEATH METAL: Bolt Thrower Death BLACK METAL: Trollech Lfythrasyr THRASH: Testament Metallica (first 4 albums, primarily) Slayer Cripper Municipal Waste Nevermore Megadeth Gamabomb these are just a few to get you started. I will add links later.
Q:I hear people argueing over which bands are metal and which aren't and to be honest..have argued some myself. For Instance I hear Motley Crue and Poison and Warrent called quot;Hair Metalquot; a LOT, which are groups I have always considered to be quot;Glam Rockquot; or a Glammed up version of Hard Rock. Then I see paople say bands like Slipknot (which I don't like.. but not the point) or Despised Icon, or Evanesence are NOT Metal. When to me..all these badns are far Heavier and mor quot;Metalquot; than stuff like Whitesnake, Warrent or the llike. Or even some of the founding Metal Bands like Deep Purple (who I love)Anyhow... what are your thoughts....?MQ- What is a band you consider Metal that others don't?
wow... metal is a big category. From AC/DC to ZZ Top, it's hard to explain, you see. I just read a great book called Bang Your Head by David Konow that covers a lot, and VH1's Heavy: The Story of Metal series is really informative
Q:Is grindcore a type of metal? And is it more metal than metalcore?
Some okorder
Q:besides metallica,jimi hendrix,kiss ,slipknot,ac/dc,can u name some good bands?
It is due to the natural luster of the metal some metals rust or tarnish much quicker than others. Gold doesn't rust or tarnish at all.
Q:last time I asked this question to a girl who come from U.S she said their music are death metal! but one of my frinds said that Slipknot has dj, so their metal is electronic metal!I wanna make sure it...Thank you to tell me it!
Yes, to a point. Metal detectors send out a magnetic pulse, which induces a current in nearby metal and results in a magnetic pulse generated by the metal. How strong and how pure the return pulse is can tell the detector how much metal there is, as well as something about what it's made of. For instance, gold is a better conductor than aluminum, so it'll generate a stronger pulse for the same size object (other sensors can give some idea how big the thing is physically). Handheld units probably can't pick apart an object into types. If you had a copper/zinc modern penny, it would probably have that info programmed in and be able to tell you. But if there were a roll of pennies of different types all clumped together, wouldn't be able to tell you how many were pure copper and how many were zinc with copper coating. Note that coin-operated devices use a similar effect to tell if you've put a real coin or a slug into the machine. One of the challenges in designing the current dollar coin was that it had to have the same magnetic properties as the Susan B. Anthony dollars, since a lot of vending machines had been designed to take those.
Q:is it a metal that acts like a non-metal or other way around?
Magnetism has to do with unpaired electrons. Electrons spin clockwise or counter clockwise. Generally they are paired. When they are not they create magnetism. Iron has 3 unpaired electrons and demostrates tahe greatest magnetism. cobalt and nickle also demonstrate some magnetism. Also, some of the rare earths and some alloys such as Alnico and steel. RECENTLY, several papers have been published on the use of polarized light for revealing the grain structure of metals and alloys. Hone and Pearson1 showed that by examining under polarized light a polished aluminium surface which had been anodized in a suitable electrolyte, the grain structure was revealed, differently oriented grains appearing with different brightnesses. Woodward2, by etching 'Monel' metal in a specific reagent, has found similar effects. Polished surfaces of aluminium and 'Monel' metal, being optically isotropic, do not react to polarized light as do the optically anisotropic surfaces of tin, zinc, cadmium, etc., and the above authors1,2 have attributed the optical anisotropy of the anodized aluminium and etched 'Monel' metal to the anisotropic properties of the surface film formed during anodizing or etching. Although this explanation may be correct, there is a possible alternative which involves the surface contour of the specimen, for it is well known that if pearlite is examined under polarized light no reaction occurs unless the specimen is etched. This has been shown convincingly by Baeyertz3 to be due to the presence of fine parallel grooves on the surface, formed by etching away the ferrite and leaving the cementite lamell? in relief. Furthermore, Jones4 has shown that polarization effects can be produced by deeply etching a metal surface.
