Properties:
Manganese has a melting point of 1245oC,specific gravity of 7.2.Ordinary manganese is a hard and brittle gray-white metal .It is chemically reactive and slowly decompose cold water. Manganese metal is ferromagnetic after special treatment.
The main application of electrolytic manganese metal flakes:
Manganese is an important alloying agent. It is added to improve the strength, toughness, stiffness, hardness, wear resistance, and hardenability of steels. Together with aluminum and antimony, especially in the presence of copper, it forms highly ferromagnetic alloys. Manganese dioxide is used as a depolarizer in dry cells and as a decolorizing agent for glass that has been colored green due to iron impurities. The dioxide is also used in drying black paints and in the preparation of oxygen and chlorine. Manganese colors glass an amethyst color and is the coloring agent in natural amethyst. The permanganate is used as an oxidizing agent and is useful for qualitative analysis and in medicine. Manganese is an important trace element in nutrition, although exposure to the element is toxic in higher quantities.
Introduction
Electrolytic manganese metal flake is with silver gray metallic luster, hard and crisp, melting point 1245, boilling point 1962, with strong oxidation-reduction capacity. Specific gravity is 7.2. In comparison with metal manganese made by elctric warming, the electrogenerated mental manganese is of higher purity, superior quality and wider application.

- I am not sure either ,Clayton. Its a broad BS genre. Look at the bands who are called Nu Metal... How can Limp bizkit , Papa Roach. Static X ( who I like ), Kittie( How are also okay ) and all these bands be remotely alike. Its pure BS. Some decent bands are lumped into the Nu Metal Genre. As far as Genres go its a stupid one. Edit: I can not believe that Manson, Orgy and some of the other bands on Dark Av's list are even on there. ( I know its not his list but the one he found. ) I also happen to love Union Underground.

- Well I've managed to light a magnesium ribbon with a lighter before using the blue part of the flame, even though you are meant to use a blowtorch for it. Holding the metal in tongs is a must for this.
