Q:I have an multi interface card reader and then I put the XD-picture card (2GB) to the card reader.Besides, I have already installed the multi interface driver to my desktop. I can read the data fromthe card reader but I can not save the data to the XD card. I mean it acts as a memory stick.Pls help me to figure out the problem. Thanks: Check and make sure you don't have any settings for the multi reader or XD card set to protected or read only mode. It should work both ways, but your multi interface card reader may not be compatible with the computer or OS you're using. Try a different USB port to see if anything changes. Best of luck.

Q:i have a built in card reader on my computer, when i plug anything in it freezes the My Computer window. AND when i keep the card in, my BIOS refuses to continue past the BIOS screen.i have windows XP home edition, i hated windows vista.and my computer is a Compaq Presario 2180NX: Compaq is HP they are the same company. The bios updates are not bad at all. They should have a file on the website. Try the memory card in a different computer to make sure it is not the card. If the card is fine then you might try the bios update, system restore, and or getting another card reader to try out if you are out of the warranty. If you are in warranty I would say call up the people at Compaq tech support so they can send you a new one out or see what magic they can work.

Q:I have been up day and night trying to get the write protect off my sd card reader that is internal. I am running vista home. I have several SD readers on various computers and it has never told me the card was write protected. Try the driver. If not, go to the card reader's website and find the update and troubleshooting.

Sometimes, the solution or path I think is right is not what the cards see at all, and they are insistent in responding to the need, not the question.
