Would it need to be the complete size of the mobile home i.e 12x60 or could I use smaller pads just where the wheels are going to sit?: You do not need a full pad, but you do need what are called piers. They are tubular structures, in the ground, down to the frost line. Holes are augered, and then cardboard concrete tubes are placed in, and they are filled with cement. These are what the blocks are placed on, and then the house. They are necessary to avoid ground shift during cold weather. As far as the placement of ANY blocking, contact the manufacturer of your home and give them the serial number. They can fax you a pier plan. This will tell you where to place the piers. Yes, you can also use a full pad. Just contact a manufactured home set crew, and they will tell you what size it needs to be. You will still need a pier plan for proper placement of blocks. If you don't use one, be prepared for sagging floors, doors that won't open, doors that won't close, etc.

Q: Is there any way to remove rubber cement stains? From clothes and carpet?: Rubber cement may be a great tool as an adhesive, but when that adhesive turns into a stained mess on your fancy tablecloth or carpet it's not that great anymore. Q: I used Black Jack roofing cement to fill a small gap where a piece of flashing was missing. I put a pretty good size bead/glob to ensure I filled in the small gap and the gap between the roof and the bottom piece of hardiplank. So, you can imagine how thick it is. It has be a good day and a half since I have done it and it's just as wet as when it came out of the tube. Is this normal? And, if it stays like will the force of a heavy rain mess the bead up? Thanks for any input!: No, no, no.....don't laminate pieces of aluminum foil with plastic fibered cement as suggested. Foolish suggestion. Your glob will eventually develop a skin and slowly harden. Being summertime, it will take awhile. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't drop through the area your attempting to seal. When you decide to re-work the area purchase roll flashing aluminum.....you can cut it to any size or configuration desired and then the Black Jack.

Q: When installing fence posts for a 6 foot high privacy fence, I have gotten a few different inputs reference cement. Specifically, should what would you recommend and why: 1) dry pack cement into the hole and don't add water (let nature do it over time; does this jeopardize the plum of the posts initially); 2) dry pack cement into the hole and then add some water; 3) premix and then add to the hole; or 4) use quick drying cement.: I have seen the results of dry-packing: It does not work, whether water was added at first, or by nature. Concrete does not work unless it is mixed. Many fence installers will tell you otherwise, but they don't do much real concrete work. Dig the hole where you need it, twice the size of the post and at least 2' deep. Pour at least 4-6 of concrete into the hole first (gravel is good also, but dig the hole deeper if you are planning on that) , then set the factory end of the post, or a post with appropriate end treatment into the mud. Make sure the post is in the fence line, and plumb both ways. Brace it, then fill the rest of the hole with properly mixed concrete. You need to have solid concrete on all sides of the post. Fill the hole slightly higher than ground level, then slope the excess concrete away from the post. Do not disturb until the concrete is fully set around the post. (at least a day) Not doing so will allow water to creep in around the post, allowing rot sooner.

I've heard that you can use CPVC cement on both CPVC and PVC (since CPVC is harder to melt), but not PVC cement on CPVC pipe.Ideas?: Your just fine using CPVC cement on PVC, especially on a bike stand. The only time it would make a diiference is when you are actually using it for water pressure. CPVC is used for water supply, under pressure, to your faucets and so on. It's formulated for drinking water where as PVC is not, either way, for what your doing, either cement would work...
