Q: Im trying to remove my Backsplash! Old Tiles gone! Whats the best way to remove Cement Board without damaging my Drywall? I made a hole but need the best way to prevent more!: depending on how old the house is, the sheetrock could be different - past 5-6 years they have built better sheetrock (older sheetrock is more likely to crumble no matter what you do). First you have to see if it is glued, nailed or screwed on. If it is glued, you are better off replacing your sheetrock so you have a better substrate for your new backsplash. If nailed, it should come off easy, and if screwed, you can see the screws in order to back them out. Good luck - hope it works out.

Q: We recently replaced a basement window and the window was slightly smaller than the last one. Therefore we had to add pieces of wood to the frame to make the window fit properly. When the original window was done they used quickset to protect the window frame on the outside from the elements of the weather (where the frame would have been exposed). Should I do the same? Or should I try some type of molding?Thanks!: It's best not to use any type of wood around basement windows. Cement bricks work well for in-filling around windows. Ridgid foam along with spray foam also work well to infill gaps around window prior to being covered with cement mortar. Pressure treated wood is an option. I personally don't like to use it on a clients home. Because it will eventually rot (usually along the bottom) due to it's close proximity to the ground and mositure within the existing wall. Use a cement mortar around the the window.

Q: I was wondering if bees can go through cement?Like a cement wall or something.I've heard they can go through wood.: No bee's can not go through cement. Actually I don't think they can go through wood unless there is a space or hole where they can enter.

Q: Our pool liner ripped!! our pool is custom 11ft deep. we drained the pool we are removing the water from behind the liner. We are trying desperatly to make this liner last one more summer! Of course it ripped down at the 11 ft area. but the rip only runs along the top edge of the lip that snaps into the metal ring around the pool. I came up with the idea of using rubber cement to cement the ripped liner to the steel wall. Is this possible?? we just can't shell out 3,700.00 for a liner right now and its HOT the kids are driving us insane to try something ANYTHING does anyone have anybetter ideas?? we are open to any ideas! thanks: nicely no longer relatively advantageous yet i might say that u can bend and beat steel into shapes that u want plastic i dont think of u can artwork with or rubber cement the two until u pour it right into a variety attempt plaster u can get diff. molds to pour it into like my grandpa used to do and then whilst that's dry u can paint them or perhaps sell them

Q: I know they grab onto wood and trellis' but, do they need some kind of support to cover a cement wall?: Those vines will grow if theirs any little cracks in the wall. But their very invasive plants, and will eventually cover, the wall completely. At least mine of a similar variety did. Even broke down the wall some over a few years.
