Q: Hi i have been doing some research into mobile phones and i came across a few terms that really confused me, i understand that when you talk on the phone the data is converted from your voice into digital signals, the part i dont understand is where modulation such as PSK occurs and how TDMA and CDMA fits into all of this can someone tell me what the relation is between these things.thank you: I don't know how that got started, but it is a possibility. Any transmitter/receiver combination has the possibility to interfere with some other combination. To my knowledge, it has never happened with aircraft. The law against cell phone use is not an FAA rule, but an FCC rule. Reason:You will tie up every tower in range of your cell phone while in an aircraft. As any radio operator should know, the higher your antenna the better reception you will get.

Your mobile phone should be in the list of phones that google voice will call. Also you phone should be setup in google voice that when that mobile phone calls you google voice number you do not have to enter a password. So to start a call you dial your google voice number then you will go to the google voice system directly without having to enter a password and you will hear press 2 to make a call, if you want to make a call then follow the instructions.

I know they're good 'cause there is no contract but money wise would you spend more on one of these then on a cell phone with a contract?: With any pre-paid phone you could easily end up paying double what you would pay with a contracted phone. If you would talk on it a lot, like more than 30-45 mins a day then it would be more expensive. With virgin mobile it is more expensive than other pre-paid services. I would suggest you go with Cingular Go Phone's if you know a lot of people on the Cingular network because you get unlimited mobile to mobile. And a)that saves you money and b) it saves your minuets. The major con to the Cingular Go Phones is that they dont have the latest and greatest phones. Virgin mobile has some pretty neat ones. They are both easy to set up, and if you go into any RadioShack they will more than likely offer to set them up for you.
