- Q: Is there an additive i can mix with jp8 to safely run diesel equiptment?
- I don't think you need an additive. The Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow, CA uses jp8, straight up, in all the vehicles that they repair, refurbish and overhaul. This includes LAV's, AAAV's, HMMUV's, Mark 48's, M-1 Abrams, cranes, forklifts, VTR's, ect. They are equiped with 8V-92 Detroit Diesel engines, VT-903 Cummins engines, 6.3 liter GMC engines, 1500hp turbine engines, Perkins engines, V-1710 engines, and RP-200M Raxman. There has been no fuel issues with running them on jp8. It's sort of like using premium gasoline. If you really think you would have an issue with this, then you should go online with Chevron or Standard Oil or the API (American Petroleum Institute), someone like that where you could gain access to a petroleum engineer.
- Q: What are the additives and additives?
- Preservatives are mainly potassium sorbate (or sorbic acid) and sodium benzoate (or benzoic acid), so look at the preservatives to see these two. In addition, potassium sorbate better than sodium benzoate, Oh, in the human body to be more thorough metabolism, the cost should be higher.
- Q: The previous owners left 2 gas cans with fuel in them. Is there a way to tell if there are additives in them and if it is okay to use them in my mower (which has always used regular unleaded with no additives)? Would it harm the motor to use them anyway? The mower is a toro recycler with a briggs stratton engine.
- the previous owners left two cans of FUEL ! with maybe some brake fluid and bit of kero and whatever. you are meant to use fresh unleaded fuel or problems sure you can take the risk on stale fuel but could be somethine else then you buy a new lawnmower because you don't know what else is in that fuel they left it because they did not want a bar of it. don't use the gas and find out how to dispose of it correctly.
- Q: What kind of additives to do with tofu?
- Do tofu use coagulant and gypsum (or point halogen), these additives.
- Q: is chocolate liquor a main ingredient, preservative or additive?!?
- it depends what u make. i work at a liquor store and many of the people who buy the godiva liquor also buy these chocolate edible shot glasses and use those to make after dinner drinks :) i make regular chocolate mousse and add some chocolate or rasberry liquor (chambord is nice) and mix it in the mousse then put it in the chocolate cups with shaved chocolate on top or a rasberry as a garnish.it looks pretty, tastes yummy and is very easy to make!!
- Q: Give examples of food which contain themcan they be dangerous?
- I refer you also to my answer about ANTIOXIDANTS. ALL additives to food are present for a purpose: To add colour or to retain a colour; as a preservative; flavouring enhancers and emulsifying agents. There are strict laws here in England which prevent our foods from having any known dangerous additives, however although some additives are known to be harmful (like certainE" numbers which are chemically produced) others are not harmful to us, proportionally as they sourced from natural products. One can get too worried at times thinking about the lists of additives (which can be found printed upon most food lables, such as frozen products etc.) but unless you are a bio-chemist, it is hard to know what is what? A good way to know if there arwe any additives present, is by reading the main food or drink description:ORANGE FLAVOUR DRINK" for example, will probably contain NO ACTUAL ORANGES at all. The wordFLAVOUR" in the drinks title is a the give-away! Get me? The above drink would have been produced from flavourings alone and also colouring so as to taste and appear to be orange, whilst it is not! Chocolate Flavour? Coffee Flavour? Blueberry Flavour? NONE of these are natural. The flavouring of these foods will be provided by an additive and we all of us have been eating & drinking these so-called foodstuffs for many years! Hopefully without any detrimental harm to ourselves??
- Q: suppose somebody invented a cheap chemical additive to induce a 40% fuel saving, what should he do?
- If you patent it, it puts the technology in the Public Domain. This means it can be modified and used by others. Unless you are very rich you wouldn't be able to fight it. Check very thoroughly that it doesn't exist already. Eg. search fuel additives aluminium and so on. If you really have something special then use an intermediary Lawyer who will act for you, keep your name secrect, get the interested parties to sign non disclosure agreements and so on.
- Q: What brand of white vinegar is no additives who can tell me about,
- In general, white vinegar is blended with vinegar, there will be no additives, and your mouth of the additives I do not know is not a preservative, the market will see the number of food will be added preservatives, or two or three days, up to a week Metamorphism.
- Q: Prove the lemma about existence of additive inverses in Zn. (lemma- theres a (-x) in Zn such that x+(-x)[0]n(-x)+x.)?
- In Zn (-x) is also known as n-x for x positive. In Zn, 0+0 0 and 0 is the additive inverse of 0, 1 +(n-1) 0 in Zn and n-1 is the additive inverse of 1, 2 +(n-2) 0, etc.: k+(n-k) 0
- Q: For example, -(7.8)? and why?
- It's very simple -- the additive inverse is the same number with the opposite sign. The opposite of - 7.8 (negative 7.8) is + 7.8 (positive 7.8). The opposite of + 7.8 is - 7.8. The additive inverse (opposite) of - 3,962.424 is + 3,962.424. The additive inverse (opposite) of + 3/4 is - 3/4. Just switch the sign from + to - or from - to +. It's called additive inverse because if you add a number to its additive inverse, you will always get 0. Don't confuse additive inverse with inverse. The inverse of 3/4 is 4/3. When you MULTIPLY a number by its inverse you will always get 1. Hope that helps!
