Q:So i just bought it and it says for diesal or gasoline engines. But when i look online it says diesal vehicles and off road gasoline vehicles. For marine equiptment as well. Would i be ok putting it in my gas f150?
I agree. Probably better off filling your tank with Chevron 91 octane, once and awhile. Most additives are expensive and do very little.
Q:Please could someone help me with my school project, the question is:Suggest three possible strategies to address the issue regarding food additives. Think about how consumers should be informed about the uses of additives and the possible influence of food additives, colorants and chemical preservatives on health (possible allergic reactions)All help would be greatly appreciated!!
The best method would be informing the public the sources and purpose of the additives. Consumers are attracted to color, thus food colorings are used.Preservatives are used in practically everything, although, sometimes it is not necessary. The problem does not lie in the producers, but rather the consumer. We as consumers, make the choice and create a demand for a specific product. If more people were to opt for All Natural products, then the demand of products with additives would decrease. The public should be informed about the sources, production, etc. of the additives. It would be ideal, but unrealistic, for companies to list such information on their products. What it comes down to is being informed. The public should know what they are eating. They should know what is going into their mouths. It'd be great for suppliers to provide such information, but I think we, as consumers, are responsible for obtaining such knowledge.
Q:please explain how u got ur answer:) thx * a website attached would b great
The additive inverse of x ia y such that: x + y = 0 0.42 + y = 0 y = -0.42 The multiplicative inverse of x is y such that xy = 1 -1.6 * y = 1 y = -1/1.6
Q:Does anyone know if Mazda puts break-in additives in the oil from the factory, or is it just straight oil ? I've got 1,000 miles on a new car and want to switch to synthetic oil, but I may wait if this "original" oil has additives in it.
There are no break in additives in the oil, but 1000 miles is too soon to change to a synthetic, wait till you have at least 4-6000 miles.
Q:are they safe? are they worth using? do they really do what they're advertised to do?
Additives are a waste of money and are not recommended. The only thing I would do is possibly switch to a high mileage oil but even then I would only do so if the car was leaking oil. Changing it every 5000 to 7500 miles is sufficient for normal use. Severe use calls for every 3000 to 3750 miles. I own a 1996 Accord LX wagon and change the oil every 7500 miles as per the owner's manual. There has been problems in the past with using synthetic oil and then switching to conventional oil causing oil leaks due to damaged seals. This problem should no longer be an issue with modern oils but since you have an older car, IF the former owner used synthetic oil I would continue to use the same oil so as not to take any chances.Fuel treatments won't hurt anything. I have used them once or twice in my life and consider them a waste of money as well.
Q:I know fuel additives like STP‘s Octane booster (don‘t complain about them I know they aren‘t all that), I know they can seriously f*ck up more modern engines. But I have a 1987 BMW. with an inline 6 engine. I am wondering if the Injector cleaner, octane boosters, etc fuel additives will damage anything.
The previous post is partly correct. Octane booster - stay away from it unless you have an actual need to boost the base octane level of the gas you're getting. For example, I have an LT1 that's been built to just barely run on super. If I get one questionable tank of gas, it'll knock - I need the octane boost in that case to improve the quality of the gas mix in my tank to keep my engine out of knock. If you add too much of this for an engine that runs fine on 87 octane, you will see strange things like engine run-on, where the engine will pre-ignite off of hot spots, even with the ignition turned off. But otherwise, octane boost is a waste of good money for most engines. Fuel injector cleaner - good for the occasional use. The cheap stuff is mostly ethanol, which is actually good to help remove water from your tank, but not so good on the hoses of an 87 bimmer, since they were built before ethanol was a major additive. The more expensive stuff is mostly solvent and detergent, which won't harm a thing unless you mix it well in excess of what the label says. Most all gas additives (and most oil additives for that matter) are now designed to accommodate modern engines and sensors. I've used fuel injector cleaner with great success on both a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Toyota Tacoma that were experiencing poor fuel mileage and power. Do I use it with every tank? Heck no! I'd only recommend this occasionally, just as a little kick to help keep the injector patterns correct. If your injectors are shot or really clogged, they will do nothing to help you. In short - forget octane boost, and be careful with the ethanol/methanol based cheap supplements on an older car! Even on the good stuff - use it sparingly.
Q:can I use a septic tank additive of massive counts of bacteria (maybe mixed with water)to pour over my garden area to help disolve cat poop?
I wouldn't unless you want a smell all the time mix in a lot of baking soda
Q:I have a 15 year old car that has an oil leak. I intend on trying to fix the leak myself but won't be able to get to it for a while. Do the additives that say it stops oil leaks really work? If so, can you recommend a brand for me?
I would use a heating pada regular people oneput it on low and put a towel or blanket over this and MAKE sure it doesn't get to hot. It's cost efficient and will do the same thing the heated cat bed does. I can't say this will be of any benefit but i use these for my older cats in the house in the winter time BUT i NEVER go to bed and leave these on.
Q:Is there an additive i can mix with jp8 to safely run diesel equiptment?
you keep wanting to do this/so put it in there and when the thing blows dont start crying/the answer is get a refinery and do it yourself/sell the excess
Q:What kind of additives to do with tofu?
Under normal circumstances tofu to use two kinds of additives. Ie gypsum and brine. It is generally thought that brine is delicious
