Mechanical engnieering obviously! (And I'm not being biased at all .) But if you've taken Physics already, depending on the sections that you were good at or were interested in, you can tell which field is better for you. If you liked working with mechanical systems (i.e. forces, accelerations, kinematics, and predicting the motion / behavior of elements in a system) then you would love being a mechanical engineer. But if you found circuits and resistors inductors and capacitors fun (and not confusing at all), then you should lean towards electrical engineering.
Q: I am using a piece of equipment that uses plastics hoses to connect three metal pieces (a vacuum pump, a separation chamber, and a rotating sieve). When I touch each of these to remove material I am collecting after use, I get a small shock. What can I do to prevent this?Also, there is a loose, partially exposed wire. What can I do about this? As far as I know, it has no function.
Even if your house has code-approved grounded wiring, you still can get a shock by touching exposed wires or metal that is in contact with them. This rarely happens intentionally. It is more likely to be the result of handling a poorly insulated appliance, or one with a loose internal connection, under conditions that give electricity a path to ground through your body. To prevent this, avoid using old appliances, especially those with loose connections, and install ground fault interrupting (GFI) outlets in the bathroom, kitchen, outdoors and any location where wet conditions increase the risk of unintentional grounding. If your house has carpeting, it is almost impossible to avoid static shocks, particularly on dry days. The movement of your feet on the carpet creates a buildup of static electricity as electrons from the carpet move from the carpet into your body and electrically energize it. When you touch any metal surface, like a doorknob, you create a circuit that allows the electrons to flow, and you get a shock. While uncomfortable, shocks from static electricity are normal. You can reduce their severity by frequently touching metal objects to ground yourself before the buildup of electricity in your body becomes too large.
Q: I want to know if it would be feasible to make exercise equipment (like a bike, treatmill, stair stepper, etc.) that would produce a small amount of electricity when used. To produce enough electrical energy to make a difference on your power bill, you would have to eat twice as much as Michael Phelps training for the olympics. That would be expensive. Food isn't cheap, and your body produces heat when it works (energy loss), and only can provide a bit of power as a result. Also, you'd lose energy in the transformation of the electricity into something useful - whether you were storing it in a battery (chemical energy loss), pumping it into your tv (transformer energy loss), or transmitting it somewhere else (transmission energy loss). Lot of bikes have self-powered capability, but they also have minimal logic and minimal displays.
Q: Hello all!I know this is a crazy ideaBut I wanna try and build a mini automobile where a person could travel here and there :D I've already planned this but what are the basic requirements I need to engage in this project? i'll tell you my Electrical point of view, you need to calculate the maximum load, and speed and choose the rating of the DC motor, and of course you need to design a driving circuit to control the speed of the motor, u need a gear to reduce the speed of the motor and get higher torque, that's so difficult for you look for something easier :P

Q: I just heard tapping noises coming from the back door. The back door leads to the laundry room and multiple storage rooms. There is also all the heating and electrical equipment down there. The leak is coming from a pipe at the ceiling in a storage one, the room beside all the electrical equipment. The floor is soaked and the water is leaking a lot. Am I in danger?
Are you in danger only if the water comes in contact with electrical wires yes have the pipe repaired call a plumber don't wait til Monday when it will be cheaper because it won't when the ceiling collapses some one may get hit with plaster board and the. You wind up with an even bigger hole . The longer you wait the more it will cost. Especially if a fire were to start remember water and electricity don't play well together some one can be electricuted
