2.What is aluminum?

Aluminium is oxidized by water at temperatures below 280°C to produce hydrogen, aluminium hydroxide and heat:2 Al + 6 H2O → 2 Al(OH)3 + 3 H2

This conversion is of interest for the production of hydrogen. Challenges include circumventing the formed oxide layer, which inhibits the reaction and the expenses associated with the storage of energy by regeneration of the Al metal.

Aluminium is theoretically 100% recyclable without any loss of its natural qualities. According to the International Resource Panel's Metal Stocks in Society report, the global per capita stock of aluminium in use in society (i.e. in cars, buildings, electronics etc.) is 80 kg (180 lb). Much of this is in more-developed countries (350–500 kg (770–1,100 lb) per capita) rather than less-developed countries (35 kg (77 lb) per capita). Knowing the per capita stocks and their approximate lifespans is important for planning recycling.

Q: notice I said if I want to do it MYSELFPlease don't tell me what companies can do it for me!
Well, we could use some more information Is this just a one time thing? Or are you going into production? What kind of metal? What shape is the metal? (Is it flat sheets, or curved surfaces, etc?) Is the metal small enough to be handled, is it mounted on anything? And thenwhat are you going to do with the image ? Is this a pattern you want to transfer to the metal? or is the image itself the finished product (like a photo)? Ok, lets assume you want to transfer an image to metal for the purpose of doing something to the metal itself, like etching or scribing it.maybe even cutting it to create silhouhettes, etcLet's seethere is the common overhead projector, an arts/crafts projector (this type is placed OVER the original, and projects it up on a wall, or screen), etcTracing paper, copier, etcTrace the pattern you want onto tracing paper, or photocopy the pattern, and tape it to the metalYou can even use paper that has a sticky backing on it.a lot of wood carvers use this type of paper to transfer their images onto the wood blank, for exampleI asked about whether this was a one time deal, or productionI know you can purchase a printer that will put your image right onto the metal, just like a typical desk printer uses paperBut these are a bit expensive, heheheOhthere is always lamination tooprint the image onto some kind of stock (paper or transparencies), and then laminate it onto the metalIt would help, if we had more of an idea of what your intentions were here.remember, more details will result in better answers, heheheHave Fun
Q: I need to preform experiments that provide a strong (or clearly obvious) visual conformation test for the existence of the following:a complexation reactiona replacement reactionamphoterismexistence of a common gaspercipitatei also need to design a test to illustrate the difference between acid and base catalyzed redox of H2O2 including a test for the presence of any gases generated.I have a lot of the common lab chemical regents available to meIf you can help in any way shape or form possible, it will be much appreciated.
Assuming that you already have some of the stuff and aren't going for top of the line, then about $300 to $500Also don't forget about your bugout vehicle (if it's neccesary to your plan)Have you watched Preppers?
Q: And, where do they sell air intake filters as wellI'm trying to save money but ebay's not showing anything like that yet.Don't preach about how air intake systems pleaseI'm only getting them for the sound that they produce, not the hp.I was thinking about getting a simple aluminum tube but attaching about a 70-100 dollar filterAny Suggestions?
I agreeEbay has an application somewhere for you, guaranteedIts also likely the cheapest place to goMost, if not all, tubes are basically the same regardless of manufacturerAs for filters, I'd only get K N, AEM, or NAPA Gold.
Q: i just bout a macbook speak aluminum unibody and i want to no if its a case because i didnt want the case
aluminium unibody is referring to a specific model of the macbook, if you are buying a aluminium unibody macbook you are purchasing the whole macbook, complete and ready to use. hope this helped
Q: I have a aluminium boat and want to put a fish finder on it but if i drill holes for the sensor wont it leak?
Knitting board? A common brand is Knifty Knitter.
Q: Is it safe to use aluminum foil to cover food in a microwave oven, and will it cause any damage?

No, it is not recommended to use aluminum foil to wrap food in a microwave oven. Aluminum foil can cause sparks and potentially start a fire due to the metal's reflective properties. It can also damage the microwave's interior and magnetron, leading to costly repairs or replacement. Instead, use microwave-safe plastic wrap or containers designed for microwave use to safely heat food.

Q: what other material can you use to smoke out of?If you give me about smoking being bad for you just shut up
The cold air intake that came on the carJust slip in a KN air cleaner in your stock cold air boxAftermarket cold air intakes don't have water-drainsThe stock one does.
Q: This question seeks to understand the negative effects on the environment from using disposable aluminum foil for cooking purposes.

The environmental impacts of using disposable aluminum foils for cooking include increased waste generation, which contributes to landfill accumulation. Aluminum production is energy-intensive, leading to higher greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, while aluminum is recyclable, improper disposal can result in less recycling and more pollution. The use of disposable aluminum foil also promotes a culture of disposability, which can exacerbate environmental issues by increasing the demand for raw materials and the generation of non-biodegradable waste.

Q: We got our cat when I was 6 months pregnant, and she's slept with usNow we have a 3 week old son who she thinks is a toy.and I don't want to risk her pawing at him or sleeping on him when I'm sleeping. So when no one can watch her we put her out in the porch, its where her food water and litter box areBut she always scratches to get in! She does it loudly and it sounds like nails on a chalkboardThe porch isn't heated and on cool nights I let her inside, with the door open just enough for her to get inIf i close my bedroom door she scratches that tooI've tried to just ignore her, and hope she'll go lie down but no luckI know the baby is new to her and she doesn't understand why she can't come sleep with us anymore and I feel very sad for her. She's not allowed in the Babys room at all, and will often ignore it even of the door is open.but the baby sleeps on a bassinet next to our bed.Tips?.suggestions.?
They hate aluminum foilYou could try laying a couple of sheets on the floor outside of the doorShe won't want to stand on top of it to scratch at the door.
Q: I'm restoring an old aluminum deck board (interesting ride) just for fun but I'm trying to keep it as period as possible so I'm keeping the old trucks on the board since they're in decent shape but the bushings need to be replaced badlyThe trucks are Continental (?) brand which I haven't heard of beforeAnd idea on if current replacement bushings will work or do I have to go with the guess and check (and rig) method?
Current bushings will workYou just need to get the same shapes as the old ones.
