Maintainance guide:
Make sure that you regulaly clean the wood floors in order to prevent dust accumulation. We recommand to clean a small part
of stains as a testing ground to prevent too much chromatic aberration.
Dust and stain— use a hard brush dipped in warm soapy water to remove it.
Mildew— scrub with ordinary wood mode class agents, or bleach to rinse or wipe it directly.
Chalk stains—In addition to the while chalk, other colors can not be removed, you can use bleaching agent with hot soapy
water to wash it.
Ice or snow—Apply calcium chloride or rock salt, it can melt ice or snow, then use hot soapy water to wash it.
Stain soil and dirts— Apply detergent, which contains oxalic acid or phosphoric acid. Whiping the stain for 10-15 mins.
Greasy and oil-based stains—immediately use household cleaning products with hot soapy water to wash it.
Juice and wine stains—Mixed the bleach stain agent and hot soapy water to dilute the stain and wipe.

- Q:I recently just got put on a quiet floor (not at my request), and was wondering what the quiet floors at your school were like. For me, the quiet period begins at 7pm and ends at 10 am. What I'm hoping to happen is that the majority of the residents will decide that they don't want it to be a quiet floor. - My friend was the RA of the quiet floor last year. Trust me, she enforced quiet hours, even when her friends visited her. Her residents had fun though. They weren't drunk and partying at 3 in the morning on the floor. But they still hung out, played video games, talked, went out, etc. If you don't want to live on the quiet floor, see if you can switch to a different floor.
- Q:I have wood floors in my apartment and am putting a few coats of polyurethane on them, to protect them and make them shiny. Question- does the (water based Home Depot polyurethane) fill the little cracks between the wood slices so that the floor is essentially one smooth surface?Thanks!
- Yes, put a least 4 coats for a perfect finish, no need to sand between coats.
- Q:hen I was in Florida I went to a hotel called the crown plaza in Orlando and I was in the lift when I noticed there was a fourteenth and and a twelfth floor but no thirteenth floor and It wasn't a staff floor or anything cause I counted the floors on the way up by looking at the numbers on the walls ( It was a glass lift) . - Superstitious. In 1823, a hotel had 13 floors. They believed it was the number that was strange and was causing this: The lights kept turning on if they are on, there were sightings of little pitch black shadows, fans would turn on, windows would shut. Reported by someof the people on the twelfth floor there were a lot of footsteps on the floor above them. The fourteenth reported there were people pounding on the ceiling in the thirteenth floor. Nobody could reach the ceiling. And the floor was to seperate sounds, nothing could travel threw it. Something strange was happening. They believed the number '13' was the cause for this. Not all hotels are superstitous anymore but still some are. Yes, their is a place in Orlando, Florida not in Crown Plaza but one called River Seats is the one that was doing this. Oh yeah, another report back then, all the bibles from all the rooms were thrown out in the hall, people found out in the morning. I do not believe it was the 13 number. But I believe it was a ghost on the 13th floor. I know there are places like that. I have been in River Seats before. The 13th floor is no forbidden. They still have the hotel up though. I once secretly snuck on the 13th floor late at night. It acted up a little. Like a toilet flushed is all. But even that just made me get the hell out of that hotel. It usually acts up when there is someone in there. Yeah, scary. During that time, people kept leaving without excuses and never came back to that hotel at all. Just people on the 13th floor.

- I bought a product designed for laminate flooring in Home Depot called Bruce's dura luster no wax floor cleaner... there is a number of cleaners out now but not in all stores... there is also one called True.. they do clean up dirt, etc.. but do not shine it... I use a soft cloth and go over it with the cleaner and buff it...

- You CAN use pergo flooring in a kitchen with good results.. Keeping it clean is a simple process. Sweep your floors OFTEN to rid the surface of dust/dirt and food particles.. You can also mop just don't saturate the floors with water. A slightly damp mop will take off most spots.. You can also use a liquid spray cleaner like BRUCE for spot cleaning which will protect your floor and make it shiny. I personally, don't like wood flooring in a kitchen especially if you have wood all over the house it seems to make roooms appear smaller and more closed in.. However, with the right amount of wood in a home it can be a nice and easy to care for addition to a home..... I would do a ceramic tile or something more durable and easy to care for instead of wood....

- a very sharp scraper. a long handle ice scraper works best and sharpen often like with a sharpening stone. best if stone can be attached to a drill.
