- Q:why does steel have a density range when other metals do not?
- Steel is not a pure element it is an alloy. Steel is primarily iron but it has many elements blended in that change it's density including carbon, silicon, nickel, chrome, etc. Aluminum and copper , magnesium and so forth can be the pure element or they can be alloys too. If they are alloys, then their densities vary also
- Q:I need the measurements of the height and hypotenuse of the first drop in the Steel Dragon 2000. I couldn't find it anywhere. It would be great if you could also show me the website where you got your answer. Thanks! =]*The hypotenuse is the length of the drop.*
- Steel Dragon 2000 is a roller coaster at Nagashima Spa Land Amusement Park in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Built by Morgan Manufacturing, this gigacoaster opened, appropriately, in 2000 - The Year of the Dragon in the Far East. It debuted only months after Millennium Force and surpassed the Cedar Point coaster as the world's tallest complete-circuit coaster. It also set a record for longest track length - 8133 feet, 2 inches (2479 m), which it currently holds. Coaster Facts * Steel Dragon 2000 is the tallest coaster to utilize a traditional chain lift. Because of the length of the lift hill, two chains are used - one for the bottom half and one for the top half. A single chain would have been excessively long and heavy, at least twice the weight of one of the trains. As a result, two trains can safely occupy the lift simultaneously. * The building of Steel Dragon 2000 required far more steel than other coasters for earthquake protection. This put the cost of the coaster at over $50,000,000. * On August 23, 2003, Steel Dragon 2000 was involved in an accident during a run in which one of its trains lost a wheel. The coaster did not operate during the 2004 and 2005 park seasons. It reopened September 3, 2006.

In summary, steel coils play a vital role in the production of agricultural systems by providing the necessary strength, durability, and stability required for farming machinery, irrigation systems, storage facilities, and agricultural structures. Their usage ensures that these systems can withstand the demanding conditions of the agricultural industry and contribute to efficient and sustainable farming practices.
- Q:What is the material of steel coil 08F and what brand can be used instead?
- Characteristics and applicable range of 08F:Its strength is low, and the steel is soft, plastic and tough. General use does not require heat treatment, but in order to eliminate the internal force due to cold processing, improve the cutting performance of steel, heat treatment can be carried out, cold processing can increase the intensity. Often used in the manufacture of stamping parts and carburizing parts, such as stamping products, sockets, enamel products, automobile shell, etc..
- Q:So what's harder gold or steel
- Steel Gold is a soft metal, that's why people bite it to make sure it is real.
- Q:What are the different coil leveling methods used for steel coils?
- There are several coil leveling methods used for steel coils, including roller leveling, stretcher leveling, and tension leveling. Roller leveling involves passing the coil through a series of rollers to remove any curvature and create a flat surface. Stretcher leveling involves stretching the coil in different directions to remove any shape irregularities. Tension leveling applies tension to the coil during the leveling process to eliminate any residual stresses and create a uniformly flat product.

- Q:I understand that Stainless Steel is a low carbon steel having minimum 10.5% chromium content in it there r 60 different type of stainless steel. Kindly informa) Is this info correct?????b) Which stainless steel can get rusted or can have superficial rust????
- Stainless steel is a generic term for a whole range (there are more than 60 types) of Fe-Cr alloys. They all contain some amount of C and some alloys include a good number of other alloying elements. In almost all cases, the materials have corrosion resistance due the Cr atoms that are in solid solution with the Fe matrix. Under corrosive conditions, the Cr forms a thin tight coherent layer of Cr-oxide. This Cr oxide coating prevents further corrosion so long as it is not chemically or physically removed. If the SS has been subject to mechanical abrasion, the corrosion resistance can sometimes be restored by a light exposure to nitric acid which passivates the surface, restoring the Cr-oxide layer. The carbon content is an important factor in corrosion preformance but so is the heat treatment. Under the wrong conditions and in different environments, all SSs can rust. One of the most common corrosion problems is sensitization which occurs in the heat affect zone (HAZ) around welds. If the C content is high enough and the heat is high enough, the Cr atoms in solid solution form Cr-carbides and are no longer available to form a protective Cr-oxide. The corrosion resistance can be restored by appropriate heat treatment.
