Q: OMG! a phoba of crane flys, and there are 5 on my celling right now!!! What do I do, will the move and fly around eventually? I can't kill them, they are out of my reach, and if they start moving, im runing the %^$ outta my house. Will they die by tommorow? or will they just hang there?
dude they aren't even harmful... they wont die by tommorrow but they'll move eventually so you could smack them then
Q: Is there a crane lifting chart where I can enter info. to determine what size crane I need, if so where?
Sorry, it's not quite that simple.
Q: Why is there as much evidence of Icabod Crane, as there is of god??
The bible provides 'answers' the universe provides explainations. Answers are subjective and based on conjecture and superstition. Explanations are objective as they seek the most accurate truth based on evidence. The notion of 'god' or 'gods' is nothing more than conjecture. An attempt to explain who, what and why we are what we are and to justify mortality.
Q: Hi, I just bought a 12 foot tommy jib crane, for my cannon x1-h1, I also bought a pan and tilt motor that you put on top of the camera mount at the end of the jib and then add your camera on top of your motor mount. This thing is really heavy now, I have to use 40 lbs for a counter weight. On top of that all the weight is making the jib slanted and shooting crooked. So I took off the motor head and just left the camera on there, and it help a bit, but its still crooked. Is there any fix for this other than buying a more expensive stronger jib crane? It shoots great and I know I can fix the video in post, but it just bothers me. Any help?
You have twisted Jib. You could get a helper or friend or two and see if you can bend it back. That's what you get for not reading the manual and seeing what the gross weight you could support with this Jib. If you are not comfortable trying to bend it back, leave it and operate with a bent jib. If you want to support that combination, you are going to need to know the weight of the Camera and motor system so you can get a Jib that can handle that weight.
Q: What kind of flower is the Sunset Crane?
Okay, i'm going to get every backyard gardener east of denver jumping down my throat on this one, but it's time you all wake up and know the real name of one of your favorate potted plants. only then will you beleave me when i tell you the sunset crane is a type of geranium. the true geranium. not the plant most people know as the geranium is botanically Pelargonium. that silly looking, red flowered, fuzzy leafed thing everyone loves to stick in a pot by their front door every summer back east and mistakenly call a geranium is not really a geranium. even the fancy Martha Washington geranium is not a geranium. it is the Martha Washington Pelargonium. but whats the use? unless you are a botanist everybody back east is going to say i'm just another fruit cake from california. (born and raised in wisconsin i'd like to add) okay, your sunset crane is botanically a geranium, often called by it's common name cranesbill. okay, you have the real best answer, so go ahead and pick the wrong best answer from some smuck from back east who knows best. sure i have two post graduate degrees in science, been a univ certified master gardener for over 15 years and just might know a tad bit more then the eastern fair weather, summer time gardener. but don't let that prevent you from thinking i'm nuts and choosing a better, best answer. i'm used to it. grandma is always right... until her plant dies. then they call me for the real low down.
Q: First Summary gets best answer...thanks!
The City is covering itself by shifting the blame form a negligent city inspector to the crane company by charging its owner with Manslaughter Charges. This is typical of civil service personal who forget who they work for (We the People).
Q: Grade 4 build a working crane Help!?
I would use about a 2 foot piece of broomstick pinned through a hole in one end. Maybe 2 to 3 inches away, a larger clearance hole with a 1/4-20 nut glued under. Use a lo-o-ong 1/4-20 bolt as a driver. (1/4-20 is 1/4 inch diameter with 20 threads per inch.) I leave the mounts and string up to you as to encourage your participation and creativity.
Q: I know that the whooping crane population recovered through captive breeding but how many are left currently (right now).
There were 535 total in 2009--the population increased slightly last year but I have not seen a total for the population of 2010. Deaths can occur at any time so the number changes constantly. The Journey North site counts 281 adults in the wild western population and 106 birds in the reintroduced eastern flock. They did not give a number for the birds in captivity so I cannot give you a total. You can follow the reintroduced whooping crane population and their migration each spring and fall on the Journey North (in fall called Journey South site). They also track song birds and hummingbirds and monach butterflies.
Q: Can anyone tell me the location of the barn in the water color Waiting Refuge by Jon Crane or how to find it
Well, to help you it would be necessary to look at the picture, I suppose, and none of the internet search results are still valid.
Q: If any of you have read The Red Badge of courage by Stephen Crane can you please tell me what you think about it. Is it a good book or is it not?!!!! Do you praise it or critize it !? i need your opinion what's your review! Thanks
The book is fabulous and not particularly lengthy. An easy to read piece that is a page turner.
