Q:I just finished grouting my tile yesterday I want to remove the haze with vinager should I let the grout cure for three days,then seal it and then scrub the whole floor including going over the grout lines (which would be then sealed) scrubbing with a sponge and avoiding the non cured grout is working but is taking far too long: Remove standard grout haze, any time now with a dry rag. I prefer an old towel or hand towel. More stubborn haze or a rougher textured tile I prefer a white nylon pad. Sold most any where tile and tile supplies are sold. Buff using the nylon pad. Do this also dry. By doing it wet with water or a vinegar/water solution you reintroduce grout onto the tile by using the dirty water. You ll have to do it more to get the haze off. Don t seal grout until all haze is removed or the sealer will be sucked into the haze and that gets sealed onto the tile. use a penetrating sealer 3 days after tile was grouted. Q:We want to pull out our carpeting and use self stick linoleum tiles. What do we need to know?: You want a clean, flat surface to place your tile on. You can buy leveler at your local hardware store or you could overlay your floor with luon which is a very thin plywood to help level your floor and have a clean surface to work with. You want to start at the center and square out your floor with chalk line. You want your cut pieces on the edges. My husband also used an adhesive to ensure the tiles stayed put, but ask to see if this is necessary. My floor has been in for about 10 years now and the edges are still tight.

Q:On those tiles, can you skate on them with ice skates. I was thinking about getting them but I wasn‘t sure. Last but not least, is there a different kind of tiles that are cheaper. Thanks!: I think I understand your question, the tiles you can't skate on unless you have roller hockey skates, it's called sport court. I play roller hockey and ice and the tiles for roller SUCK! If I were you I'd just go fin a certain kind of paint I can't recall the name of the brand, but paint the garrage floor with it and you can skate in there and stick handle if you have enough room. If not, contact the vinyl tile company to make sure what is the best method to use lay your vinyl tiles down. Hence ceramic tiles does have very deep grout lines and may or may not have scratches or depressions in it. You should use an embossing leveler to level out the floor. Use it according to manufacturer's instructions. Secondly, it's best to use a primer. Hence a latex primer is always good. But depending on the tile, if you are purchasing a self-stick tile or regular vinyl tiles. The brand of vinyl tile always recommends you to use a certain type of primer that allows the glue to adhere better. Then you won't have any tiles popping up.
