Q:I am trying to find a vacuum cleaner that works but has a security feature that prevents it from being stolen. I work in a residence hall and have inherited the task of finding new vacuum cleaners. This hall has a history of thievery when it comes to vacuums, so I am hoping to find a means by which to control usage of a vacuum either with a key, a code, a combination, a timer, etc. Checking them out and in has proven not to work so well in the past.I want these vacuums to last for a long time, and I want them to be able to power through almost anything (hair, stickers, bobby-pins, etc.). Thanks for the help!
That is a tough one. I do not know of a vacuum that has a lock built into it. The Miele canister vacuum cleaners have a handle. You can put a bicycle style lock through the handle. You could also do that with a Dyson. The Miele's last really well.
Q:Is there a vacuum out there it is a certified air purifier? I recently learned that vacuums blow out dust, even ones with expensive hepa filters leak some form of bacteria into the air.I'm looking for facts only, not opinions. Sources preferred.
I okorder I hope this helps, good luck!
Q:I would like to know how exactly was the Vacuum cleaner invented, what is it's main purpose? Are there any unintended sequences from this invention? IE: Is it being used for things its not supposed to?Thank you for your opinions
The electric powered vacuum cleaner as we know it was invented by James murray spangler who was a janitor, he made it using a box a pillowcase a fan motor as well as a few other odds and ends this eventually leads to the start of the Hoover Company and Spanglers machine was the Model O, there are other designs that predate this which were manually powered, gas engine powered, and bellow powered. It's main purpose was to make the cleaning of rugs and carpeting easier. Of course with any machine there will be some misuse of it i have heard of people trying to clean the bottom of their pools with household vacuum cleaners
Q:and which is best
Bagless vacuums make a mess when being emptied. Some may actually pick up better, but unless you empty the vacuum outside you are just redistributing the dust back into the house.
Q:What company produces the world's most efficient vacuum cleaners?
Sebo dart is the best we have ever used. We have had all the other makes including Dyson and this knocks spots off them all. It is used by many professional carpet cleaners
Q:I am lokoing for some suggestions on the best vacuums for a house with a dog that sheds CONSTANTLY. The fur keeps clogging my upright, so I think I am going to go with a canister vac, however, I do not want to spend a lot of money. Any thoughts.
I have a Eureka upright, Boss bagless upright (with hose attachments). I have 4 kids and an indoor allergy bearing, super shedding dog. That vacuum has been a really good vacuum and when it dies I will get another Eureka. Walmart has Eureka, and I am sure I paid under $100 for mine. I will say I have a Bissell carpet cleaner that I also like. One brand I have never had good luck with is Dirt Devil.
Q:vacuum cleaners can suck a lot of stuff up so can they suck up my facial hair and my chest hair and all da hair i got?
Of course not, those hairs are secured firmly by the hair follicles, you don't just Hoover them off...
Q:Why are my dogs afraid of the vacuum? One of my dogs runs from it, and the other trys to attack it...why?
My dog use to try to attack all my vacuum cleaners (Dust Buster, Upright, Sweeper) but I solved the problem by spraying him with a water bottle and saying NO once and now all I have to do is show him the spray bottle and he just goes to another part of the house.
Q:I have a dog who sheds like no tomorrow and my current vacuum doesn't cut it.
My Dyson is everything to me with four kids and two dogs that shed so much I am shocked they aren't bald. The first time I turned it on, the first thing I noticed was that it didn't shoot dirt and grit out the back like every other vacuum I have ever had. If you have pet hair on furniture though, the best thing to do is grab your textured cleaning gloves and rub in a circular motion. This action balls it up and you just pick it right off.
Q:What value does Voltage indicate for vacuum suction?
You need to explain this better, it makes no sense as it is. edit: no way to know exactly. Voltage alone tells you nothing. But the power used (in watts) could be a guide, if you have that number, in watts. 1400 mA-hour is a measure of the charge stored in the battery, so that is no help, as you need a time number to convert that to mA, which, with the voltage, can give you power in watts. My experience is that hand held vacuum cleaners are all very feeble.
