Q: Can it be better than ordinary gypsum board? Is it good?: Commonly used is the Taishan gypsum board, good quality gypsum board high strength, good moisture resistance!

Q: I have some plasterers doing some work in my kithchen at the moment, and i've just had the kitchen damp proffed with injection and a roll of bitchumen membrane up to approx a metre high all round the kitchen. The plasterers have told me that the dry wall won't stick to the bitchumen membrane, so have suggested putting up a stud frame all round the kitched so that they can screw the plasterboards to the new stud frame!! Is this really necessary?? Does plasterboarding with dry wall adhesive really not stick to sheet roll's of bitchumen?? Also, they have also told me that you can't drywall with foil back boards as the adhesive won't stick to the foil....is this also true???Many thanks: i suggest calling another drywall company in your area that is familiar with the materials in your area. from the sounds of it you maybe in Germany, aka Bitchumen is not something I am aware of in the USA

Q: Is gypsum board cracking related to the weather?: There may be caused by the wet, especially the wooden side of the case, the seams and no anti-crack treasure, bandages are not sticky, are the cause of cracking.

Q: I would like to ask the home of the gypsum board is generally used in general how thick?: Home decoration common gypsum board is gypsum board, the actual thickness of 9mm, but poor quality will be thinner.

Q: So, I accidently flooded my bath. The skirting boards around the sink and wood that boxes around the sink have become damp which has now dried out but the wood has cracked and I suppose that it's become warped. Now, I'm not sure how to deal with this as this wood is attached to the plasterboard wall. By removing this wood and replacing it I fear that I might damage the plasterboard wall.Any advice on how to tackle this? I kind of want some advice before I look into calling someone out: I had the same problems when renovating an old house. Your best option would be to use an impact adhesive such as 'No more nails'. At first, I had mixed results and found it best to support the skirting while the adhesive is drying. Nail a block to the floor close to the skirting and tap a wedge into the gap. Repeat roughly every six feet - works a treat.

Q: I have put my flat screen tv on the wall but now all the wires are hanging down from my tv to my sky box and my xbox etc. I have drilled a hole behind my tv and a hole near the floor so that I can drop the wires through to make it more tidy. I tied the cable to a wire coat hanger to push it though but the cavity is filled with insulation and i cant push the wires through to the bottom. Also there might be joists that I haven't found yet. Does anyone know an easier way of doing this?Thanks: Try a product called Wiremold, it covers the cable, yet looks attractive.

Q: I'm using these 'wall anchor' bolt things to hold stuff up on the wall. They're the ones that slot through a drilled hole and then when you tighten the screw in them, the part behind the wall gets compressed until it presses against the back of the wall. That's probably irrelevant though...These wall anchors are rated to hold 10kg when used in 10mm thick plasterboard walls. I'm using them in a fibro cement wall which is approx 6mm thick. Seeing as fibro cement walls are way stronger than plasterboard, would you have any idea what the wall anchors could support in them? 20kg? 30kg?I know this is going to be pretty hard to answer accurately, but any educated guesses would be great! Thanks: fibro cement may be stronger but i would guess it is more brittle too. it may crack when you tighten the anchors if you can find a couple of studs and screw directly to these it would help

Q: hi i am going to put wallboard up in my girlfriends shop...i was going to use 2by 2 timber studding....but some one said you can get alliminium studding...any 1 know anything about this or any links to websites: If this is a business code states that you must use metal studs and 5/8 drywall for a fire stop.Metal studs are held together with a self tapping screw.You can buy a metal cutting blade for your saw.You will also need a self tapping screw to hang the board.
