Q: can somebody give me good info on this. its a martial art im very interested in leaning and i would like some background info on it first thx
There are several different kinds of Crane Kung Fu. There is the Fujian White Crane Kung Fu and there is the Shaolin Crane Kung Fu, just to name two. I like Crane Style Kung Fu because it is a graceful style that relieves stress.
Q: What time period would you consider that Stephen Crane wrote in? I have no idea. By time period, I mean like the kind of writing from those times. Ex: Renaissance Period.
Crane was from the late Victorian era, timewise. His prose writing was American realism or naturalism, but his poetry was more modernistic. The Edwardian era began just after his death in 1900. Although his most famous work was The Red Badge of Courage, he was not even born during the Civil War.
Q: Well I folded 100 or so cranes from cheap origami paper (red, yellow, green and blue) before I decided that I could fold 1000 cranes a reality. My dilemma is, do I keep the 100 cranes I did and fold 900 of them to fulfill my wish? Or if I discard the 100 cranes and fold 1000, will my wish be granted on the 900th crane? The reason I want to discard the 100 cranes is because it's for my wedding and the color placement of the old cranes isn't fitting at all.Yes I'm aware it's not scientific or realistic, but it's more of faith, I'm not dumb.
Consider what you would like your 100 cranes to mean. Attach strings to your 100 cranes and then hang them in a tree etc so that the wind may carry your prayers where they need to go. Then start again to create the 1000 paper cranes you want for your wedding. PS: The making of the paper cranes involves an act of faith, not the right colour to match your wedding plans. In Japan, the crane represents peace and healing. When we consider the famous Japanese art-form of paper folding (origami) the crane comes to mind before all else. Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes (1977), a non-fiction children’s book written by American author Eleanor Coerr, tells the story of young Sadako Sasaki who lived in Hiroshima at the time of the atomic bombing. Sadako developed leukaemia as a consequence, and lived out the remainder of her short life in a nursing home desperately trying to create one thousand paper cranes. Supposedly, if someone could make a thousand paper cranes his/her wish would come true. Sadako wanted to live. Sadly, she only managed to fold 644 cranes. After her death, friends and family folded the remainder, and buried her with the one thousand paper birds. Today, a statue of Sadako holding an enormous golden origami crane stands in the Hiroshima Peace Park. People regularly leave paper cranes. The plaque on the statue reads “This is our cry. This is our prayer. Peace on Earth.”
Q: I have a question about cranes...does anyone know what the maiximim weight is that they can lift. A friend and I were discussing this and i was just wanting to know if anyone might have the answer. Thanks guys
Do not know where you live but I worked in a Shipyard in South Mississippi That had Cranes which picked up Modules which weighed 100 tons. Most were in the range of 50 to 70 tons the limiting factor was the range of the lift away from the crane. The further away from the Crane the less the load limit but the Cranes were rail mounted so they could traverse and carry the load anywhere. We had one Crane capable of handling 500 tons, a real monster. These are all located at Pascagoula Mississippi. Most were imported from Germany.
Q: hes been here for about 3 years. i want to feed him but i don't know what it eats. is there any way i could help him eat? i think he is going to die if we destroy the last of the forest area where we live.
Want to help? Don’t feed them, which draws them deeper into dangerous urban areas. And try to keep reflective surfaces covered. Following these tips could keep these majestic citizens a little safer. In 2002, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission made it illegal to feed sandhill cranes. Why Is Feeding Cranes A Bad Idea? Cranes fed by humans can become aggressive toward people. In several instances, children have been attacked by cranes. Cranes fed by humans also have been known to damage window screens and do other property damage. This behavior is probably a response of the birds to seeing their reflection, bringing out a territorial defense behavior (scratching at windows or shiny automobiles). Cranes also are more likely to tangle in human garbage in areas populated by people. Cranes attracted to people's yards for feed are put at risk as they walk across roads. Many sandhill cranes are killed each year on Florida roads. Cranes are also more likely to crash into power lines in urban areas where such aerial hazards are concentrated. Attracting cranes to urban areas increases the threat of predation (especially to young cranes) by dogs or cats. Further, the cranes' diets, which normally are quite diverse, are disrupted when they eat one food item (such as corn), consistently. Heavy pesticide use in urban lawns also is of concern. Young sandhill cranes have died from pesticide poisoning. It's Never a Good Idea to Feed Wildlife People inadvertently put cranes in harms way when they attract these birds with feed. Florida sandhill cranes have an abundance of natural foods (insects and small animals) and they do not need handouts from humans. There are many reasons why cranes should not be intentionally fed by humans, so I hope this gives you a few you can communicate to these well-intentioned people. The bottom line message: For the good of the cranes, please do not feed them.
Q: I've been wondering and haven't been able to find any information on it. Where does the sky crane go after it drops off Curiosity? You see it fly off in all of the videos, but no information is given on where it goes? Does anyone know?
Well, ..., it flies away and crashes in the distance. In the coming days the MRO will fly over the landing site and send pictures back of both the parachute, Heat Sheild, Capsule, and Sky Crane. In the meantime watch the video below. It will help you learn more information about what happened. --- Edit --- Check out the last link below. it show the parachute, Capsule, and the heat shield (after separation) all still in free flight. Give it some time they'll find the sky crane for you. --- Edit 2 --- Here's the link to a photo showing where the Heat Sheild, Backshell and Parachute, Curiosity, and yes, the skycrane are in relation to each other on Mars. Q: I remember it was either an anime/manga or a movie but a boy or girl makes a thousand paper cranes for someone who is dying (possible their mother). I'm pretty sure it's an anime. It's not the story about the little girl with leukemia, I know that. I also remember the little girl/boy putting them on the edge of the bed or something? It's not much to go by but if you can help me I would be eternally grateful.
I know that there's a book called 'Sadako and the thousand paper cranes' but I'm not sure about the anime...
Q: who has played their respective character the longest ? i'm pretty sure it's kelsey grammer but was hoping to get a few responses.
Kelsey, his role has been going on since the late 80's. I love him!
Q: Around how much would it be to rent a crane to put a jacuzzi in my backyard.
a crane rental will cost 5 times what the jacuzzi costs, maybe more depending on if there even any crane rental places anywhere near you have you even talked to the jacuzzi dealer to see how they deliver it normally? has he come out and looked at your property to see if there are any problems getting it in your yard?
