- Q: I just bought these speakers and i wanted to know if they will work on my laptop?(NEC Versa) and how do i make them work using Realtek HD? Only 2 of the speakers work and the sub works. I want all of them to work.
- well, I assume Realtek accepts 5.1 speakers. so, after installing Realtek go to Start Settings Control Panel Sounds and Audio at the Volume Tab there is a section called Speaker Settings, click on Advanced Click on the pull-down menu of Speaker Setup and press 5.1 surround sound Speakers
- Q: Does each speaker HAVE to be on its own channel or can you run a set of speakers on a single channel?
- if you don't run the speakers on different channels it will be harder to adjust your sound. the balance or fade on your radio will not work right. if you really wanted to fine tune your speakers one at a time then you can run them on the same channel. just connect and disconnect them one at a time. i usually do it by the radio either using the balance or fade. this is real important if all your speakers are different watts. i hope this helps. i wouldn't really recommend doing this though
- Q: I have a Heath TA-16 amp. Right now it has a car radio speaker with the wrong ohms and wattage. Its sounds great with distortion. Could that be caused by the improper speaker? If I change the speaker, will I lose that sweet sound?
- If you change the speaker you will lose the distortion no doubt, its due to the improper speaker yh so cuz TA-16 amps are kinda strange but if you can try n get a speaker a little better it will not exaclty correct itself but it will be closer to normal so u still get ur sweet sound!! - Component speakers consist of a pair of mid range speakers, a pair of cross overs, and a pair of tweeters. Regular speakers are only mid range speakers for a one way style, a mid range with a tweeter attached to it for a two way, and a mid range with two tweeters attached to it for a three way style. They are both good but components usually cost more. Hope this helped
- Q: I just got these 2 speakers, my grandmother passed away a few months ago, and I just got these 2 speakers she had in her den. Idk what it was hooked up to. It is a Soundesign Model 633 two way speaker. I really don't know much about this kind of stuff, all i know it that the plugs go into RCA ports. They dont have any specific color on them either, I tried hooking it up to the RCA ports on the back of my HDTV but nothing happened. What do I hook this damn thing up to to make them work?
- Old speakers use rca jacks for connection to the receiver. New receivers output terminal for speakers are for bare wires connection. Remove the rca jacks at then end of the speaker and connect it to your speaker out put terminals.

- When you unplugged your monitor speakers and plugged in your new speakers they should have just started on their own. No switching should be needed. ~ Are they turned on? Some have a switch on the speaker.

- The 'phones output can't possibly deliver enough power to test 'speakers. Yes, connect the 'speakers to the 'speaker outputs.

- You simply need to go into your receivers menu and under speaker settings adjust the levels for all speakers. It will play a test tone and you want to adjust the level of all speakers so they are the same at the listening position. Leave the main left and right main speakers at the middle of the output level and adjust the rears to match the mains. Same goes for the center channel speaker if you have one. - The quality should be the same. The speakers in the rear will have a tendency to be quieter just like you can hear things in front of you better than behind you.
