- Q: Real estate tiles where the tiles as Guangzhou? What are the consequences if the wall is not good?
- It is recommended to go to the building materials market to see, choose the brand of tiles also try to choose a large brand, quality guaranteed. But also their own hands to test the quality. Do it yourself
- Q: for making cement decorative hand made cement tile there is device sometime call cookie cutter also to portrait some design is called divider
- The metal frame that divides the tile into different sections is made from strips of metal carefully bent and soldered into place. I have seen steel ones and also brass mold patterns. The key to it is to have the bottom of the strips perfectly flat and level so that when you pour in the liquid cement mix, each color stays in its own compartment. See the link below to see a mold pattern and also the finished tile from it. A lot of history and more photos are on the second link.
- Q: If you were going to tile an entire room would you start from the walls or floor? The room is only small 12m walls 4m floor is a basic toilet basin. There are no border tiles no fllor to wall tiles.
- To be honest with you it does not matter if you do the floor or walls first. Some people prefer not to do the floor first as they will make a mess of the floor when doing the walls and it will take additional time to cover or clean the floor. And NO you do not always start in the center. In some cases starting in the center will cause you to have very small cut tiles on the edges. You should measure and find the center and dry test tiles with the 1st tile centered in the room checking to find the cut size of the tiles on the outside end. You should never have a tile less than 1/2 on the end. Example a 1 or 2 cut tile is a mistake if the tiles are 6 or larger. If the tile is less than 1/2 its size then start with the 1st tile on the edge of the center line. Always keep the same size cuts on both sides and never end up with small pieces.
- Q: After completing a bathroom tile job, including a tile baseboard border about 6 up from the floor, we have dried thinset in on the actual wall - places we missed during cleanup. I‘ve tried using some scrapers (plastic and metal), and the dried thinset is like concrete (naturally) and is pulling layers of drywall off with it. Is there a solvent or better way to remove the dried thinset from both the wall and the exposed rim of the tiles? As a last resort I might be okay with slight damage to the walls as they need serious prep anyway before paint, but I do want to make sure i haven‘t missed some very obvious, easier, better solution first.
- Rip, dig or pull it off. It has to come off and there is no trick way to do it. You can mud the damage when you prep the rest of the wall for painting.
- Q: in my bathroom what do i need thats easy an inexpensive? Can i do it myself.? trying to do it for my mother this weekend while she is away. Have tile thats old and seperating can i just pull it up clean the floor and lay the tile?
- it isn't puzzling as long as you precise practice for the pastime. even if it really is a unmarried room verify even if it really is sq. and utilizing a chalk line mark a line you'll start up with. Use the most uncovered part of the room to get completely promptly line of tiles. once you start up proper something is in simple terms repetition. yet another part of challenge is what are you putting the tile over. Is is a concrete slab? if so in simple terms verify it really is does no longer have any parts that are higher. even if it really is timber sub-floor surely use backing like ask your self board or something like that. relying on the length of your tiles you want to verify on a spacer length. Your shop may help you with that. yet another situation is your connection of tiles to the wall. Do you've a baseboard? If accessible get rid of the baseboard and reapply it once you're executed. it is going to seem more advantageous powerful and also you've gotten more straightforward time laying the tile. evaluate getting a DVD on laying tile, i'm particular you shop can promote you one for very few money. strong success!

- bathing room tiles are farley low-cost and easy to position in. i'd not paint them, that seems truly tacky to me. i'd propose in basic terms replacing all of them. no matter if that's the bathtub encompass area you're talking about my company replaces all of that for $650 such because the hardi board behind the tile. that is truly major once you've had some lacking tiles or cracked tiles because moisture receives behind there and motives mould. when you're talking about portray floor tile i'd also propose in basic terms replacing all of it. Tiling isn't that puzzling extraordinarily in a rest room considering that its so small. i'd say splurge slightly and get new tile. it is going to a great deal improve the look of your bathing room. And dont be afraid to flow with tiles in sizes along with 13x13 on walls and 20x20 on flooring. It truly makes the realm look larger.
- Q: Have a tiled half wall that I dont like, and as I neither know how to remove tiles or if how to drill through a tile can anyone help?
- You just get a chisel and a hammer and pry them from the wall. If they are on concrete, then you use a really big chisel and hammer. *The sheetrock may come down with the tile.
