Geotextile uses:
Filter: Geotextile fabric is an excellent filtering medium as it allows fluid to pass
through the fabric yet retains fine particles, as you would see in an aggy drain. Great
for wrapping perforated pipes and rock to create a path for fluid to pass though yet keep
the fines out. Another large use in Australia is in the construction of a landfill cell,
where filter geotextile sits atop the filtration rock separating the waste material placed
on top allowing the leachate to pass through down to the liner.
Separate: Geotextile when used as a separation layer prevents two different fill materials
such as aggregate and soil from combining. When used correctly the geotextile will
increase the life span of the civil project, allowing the two separate layers to perform
as designed for longer.
Protection: Geotextile when used as a protection layer acts as a cushioning barrier
between the geosynthetic lining system and other layers of the dam or landfill cell.
Generally the larger mass rolls of geotextile provide the best cushioning protection. As a
protection barrier it helps prevent puncturing and leaks from external forces coming into
contact with the liner.

A: Sure, we are professional manufacturer, OEM and ODM are both welcome.
Q: Do you have other products?
A: Yes, please check the pictures:
- Q: How do geotextiles help with subgrade stabilization?
- Geotextiles aid in subgrade stabilization by providing reinforcement and separation functions. They help distribute the load over a larger area, improving the subgrade's strength and load-bearing capacity. Additionally, they prevent intermixing of different soil layers, reducing the risk of differential settlement and improving overall stability.
- Q: Where is the non-woven geotextile in the tunnel?
- Second lining the construction of the use of civil engineering materials to answer manufacturers
- Q: What are the factors to consider when designing geotextile-reinforced structures?
- When designing geotextile-reinforced structures, there are several factors that need to be considered. Firstly, the type and properties of the geotextile being used must be evaluated, including its strength, durability, and permeability. The soil conditions at the site, such as its composition, stability, and drainage characteristics, also play a significant role. The design should take into account the anticipated loads and stresses that the structure will be subjected to, as well as any potential environmental factors such as rainfall or seismic activity. Additionally, construction considerations, including the installation process, available equipment, and cost-effectiveness, should be taken into account. Overall, a comprehensive understanding of the site conditions, geotextile properties, and design requirements is crucial to ensure the successful and sustainable design of geotextile-reinforced structures.
- Q: Can geotextiles be used in the construction of underground storage facilities?
- Yes, geotextiles can be used in the construction of underground storage facilities. Geotextiles are commonly used in civil engineering projects, including underground structures, to provide reinforcement, filtration, drainage, and erosion control. In the case of underground storage facilities, geotextiles can be used to prevent soil erosion, enhance soil stability, and improve overall structural integrity.
- Q: How do geotextiles help in preventing shoreline erosion?
- Geotextiles help in preventing shoreline erosion by acting as a barrier against soil erosion caused by water movement. They are placed along the shoreline to stabilize the soil, reduce wave energy, and prevent sediment from being washed away. The geotextiles trap sediment and allow water to pass through, which helps to build up and maintain the beach or shoreline, ultimately protecting it from erosion.
- Q: Today someone told me about a boyfriend, said to be geotextile. I wonder, geotextile cloth is what cloth? Is there there? Why is it used More
- Geotextile geotextile, also known as geotextile, it is made of synthetic fibers through the needle or woven from the permeability of geosynthetics. Finished cloth for the cloth, the general width of 4-6 meters, the length of 50-100 meters. Geotextile is divided into a woven geotextile and non-woven geotextile. Geotextile has excellent filtration, isolation, reinforcement protection, high tensile strength, good permeability, high temperature, anti-freeze, anti-aging, corrosion resistance. Divided into: non-woven geotextile, a textile geotextile (reinforced geotextile), warp knitted geotextile with demand can contact: Fang Lingyan Tel:
- Q: How do geotextiles help in subsurface drainage?
- Geotextiles help in subsurface drainage by acting as a filter and separation layer between the soil and the drainage material. They prevent the soil particles from clogging the drainage system while allowing water to pass through, promoting efficient water flow and preventing waterlogging.
- Q: What is the role of geotextiles in soil reinforcement?
- Geotextiles play a crucial role in soil reinforcement by providing strength and stability to the soil. They are used as a barrier or separator between different soil layers, preventing mixing and maintaining their individual characteristics. Geotextiles also help in distributing the load and reducing the potential for settlement or erosion. Additionally, they aid in filtration, allowing water to pass through while retaining soil particles, thus preventing clogging and maintaining the overall integrity of the soil structure.
- Q: How do geotextiles help with reinforcement of geosynthetic clay liner slopes?
- Geotextiles help with the reinforcement of geosynthetic clay liner slopes by providing additional strength, stability, and erosion control. They are placed between the clay liner and the slope, acting as a barrier to prevent soil movement and slippage. The geotextiles distribute the load more evenly, reducing the potential for slope failure and enhancing the overall performance and longevity of the liner system.
