Halls,classrooms,offices,shopping centers.etc.
Acoustic fiberglass ceiling contains a better perfomance in tension strong, light weight, so it is easy to trim and install for interior decoration, with T-grids for suspension system or glue, nail or good material could come with fiberglass ceiling baord. Thus an excellent artical work need a high quality acoustic ceiling board, also high quality.
Energysaving is a trend for our 21' era, new product like fiberglass ceiling tile could in place of traditional products one day. Which depends on functional characters: little deflection of geometry dimention, no radiocative property, specific activity of 226Ra: Ira ≤1.0 and specific activity of 226 Ra 232 Th, 40 K: Ir ≤ 1.3. Both products and packages can be recycled.
- Q: I'm looking to move into a new apartment by the end of the month. It's in a good location, however the only down side is that the neighbors upstairs have kids and they run a day care during the day. Luckily I work and won't be home until 5:30 or so, but just by visiting the place today I could hear them walking upstairs and I'm sure that it's going to annoy me.I would like to know if anybody has any ideas on how to noise proof my ceiling for a reasonable price. Is there some kind of paint that effectively noise proofs walls and such, or would I have to wreck the ceiling and place fiberglass or something of the sort in order to ensure that I don't hear them walking or they don't hear me playing loud music and such.Any help is appreciated, thanks!
- This will cost you a little bit and I suppose you'd have to get permission from the landlord, but you can buy ceiling covering that comes in larger pieces but has a design in relief so that it will look like many smaller tiles. You use a caulk gun to put adhesive on the back of the section in strategic places, and then you just press it up onto your ceiling...just start at one corner and go all the way to the opposite one and then go back and start another row...remember to 'match' the pieces so that the tile lines are even. This is very light weight material but it is has a sort of foam-like core that will indeed give you some sound proofing. Plus, it makes a very regal looking ceiling.
- Q: We recently purchased a condo with an unfinished walkout basement. Two walls above grade have fiberglass batts with a plastic vapor barrier. The ceiling has exposed fiberglass batts. We have no immediate plans to finish the basement, but I will have a washer and dryer down there. There is an electric blower to keep the pipes from freezing, but no other source of heat. I am concerned about exposure to the fiber from the ceiling batts and am wondering if there is any covering I can use to encapsulate the fiberglass, or would removal be the best option? I heard that to cover in plastic would not be a good idea because of condensation. We live in a cold winter climate. Thank you.
- Short of a dropped ceiling, you might try stapling kraft paper or the such over the fiberglass. Lets the insulation breathe, but covers it up.
- Q: I have a partially finished basement, hardwood floors above. What can I do soundproof the unfinished ceiling? I'm not planning on finishing, I want that area to serve as a hang out spot for the family and I don't want to worry about fiberglass dust.
- To sound proof you need to do two things, isolate and absorb. This means that the surface facing the basement should not be in direct contact with the floor above and some sort of material with adequate mass needs to be between to absorb the sound. It sounds like you don't want to go overboard with this project so I would suggest insulation batts and a dropped ceiling. Dow makes a 'safetouch' insulation that does not create dust and that you do not need to use a mask while installing (though I still would). There are newer styles of dropped ceilings out there now with a lower profile that use tracks that are relatively easy to install. I think one brand is called CeilingLink. This will look nice, block a lot of sound and allow access in case it is needed in the future. Best of luck, and maybe consider a radon gas detector.
- Q: What is the use of sisal?
- At present, the fiber composite composites were prepared by blending sisal fiber and glass fiber with phenolic resin, and the mechanical properties such as bending strength, flexural modulus, no notched impact strength, electrical properties and water immersion property were found. Positive mixing effect, low water absorption performance, no significant impact on electrical performance. Is a new industrial composite materials, high strength, wear resistance, comprehensive performance is better.

- Q: We have removed our rough sawn cedar from our cathedral ceiling in our 80's home. We found fiberglass insulation and 2x6 joists (the roof is directly above). The first electrician came out before we removed the ceiling and assumed there was no insulation and said we needed to get spray insulation because of the condensation can lights can cause. The other electrician we called out came after we removed the ceiling and did not say anything about condensation. Neither said anything about ice dams. I am seeing all this pretty scary stuff when doing my research, and am thinking we shouldn't put in recessed lighting now! We live in Wyoming where the climate can be pretty cold, but is usually very dry.So, if we use LED lamps and IC airtight housings, will the heat transfer really be bad enough to cause condensation and/or ice dams? Would it help to put some foam board between the shallow housings and the roofing substrate (if it fits)? We are only planning on putting up 6 6" lights in a 10x20 room...
- with that type of light they need to have free air around them ,you dont have enough space, nor would you roof be insulated, you may wish to rethink your lighting , the joys of remolding
- Q: What is the candle effect?
- For the natural phenomenon, there is a relatively reasonable explanation, known as the candle effect. Scientists believe that we can put a person wearing clothes, conceived as a candle inside and outside, clothes are candle, body fat is wax. Even a small flames may penetrate the skin, ignite the fat, and then slowly and continuously burn. ????Candle effect proved that the body itself has a burning source, as long as the environmental conditions meet, the human body can self-destruction. Is considered a case of spontaneous combustion in the body there is a frequent clue: smoking. Scientists believe that smoking may accidentally ignite what, most likely the bed of things; then, by the carbon monoxide choking faint, then, the fire into the skin, lit fat, people into a slow burning candles. The clothes and sheets are like candles, and the fat is wax. The heat of the fire is not high enough, so no other items in the room are burned. ????The truth is that no one has ever witnessed a person or an animal to burn himself and to ashes. Worse still: in the case of suspected spontaneous combustion of the human body, the victims are mostly elderly, weak people, often overweight, smoking and other issues, and are living alone.
- Q: Will the attic insulation how to do?
- Plus sunscreen method. Is made of concrete prefabricated 50CM square, thick 4-5CM 1, cover, in the roof of the red brick, and then cover up. Note that the place by the daughter wall to set aside more than 30CM of the duct to prevent the following because of long-term moisture damage to the roof, causing leakage.
- Q: What is the characteristics of the vitreous sound board?
- Has a good shape, small density, thermal conductivity 彽, insulation adiabatic, sound-absorbing performance, corrosion resistance, chemical stability. Glass fiber sound-absorbing panels referred to as glass wool or sound insulation cotton glass wool is a category of glass fiber, is a kind of artificial inorganic fiber. Glass wool is the melting glass fiber, the formation of cotton-like material, chemical composition of glass, is an inorganic fiber.
