Calcium Silicon Powder

1. Description:

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.

Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:

(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.

(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.

(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.

(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

Hmm...this is the major problem these days. And it just doesn't end with hair metal, nu metal, and metalcore. Bands like AC/DC, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Guns N' Roses, Rage Against the Machine, even Nine Inch Nails on their Broken album, have been labeled metal countless times. Now, with regards to hair metal stuff, some like early Def Leppard, Motley Crue can be considered metal, but would one even dare to call something like Poison, Warrant, Bon Jovi metal? Bands like Guns N' Roses and Van Halen fall into metal a little bit, but for the most part, both bands stay as hard rock bands. Alice in Chains's first album Facelift was more closer to heavy metal. On Dirt, just a few tracks are heavy metal and the rest are hard grunge rock and on the third album, it's pretty much hard rock. Now to the nu metal case. I always considered bands like Evanescence as alternative rock. With nu metal, some bands are more alligned to alternative rock...these include Linkin Park, Papa Roach, P.O.D., and Limp Bizkit. However, some are closer to metal than to rock...Disturbed, Mudvayne, Stone Sour, Slipknot, etc...I normally consider them to be metal while bands like Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park are just rock. And for the record, the majority of all metalcore bands are way too heavy. I almost always consider metalcore (and deathcore) bands metal...Killswitch Engage especially.
Q: What are non-metal and metal oxides?
I prefer the -core genres (metalcore, deathcore, synthcore, nintendocore, etc.) If you say that there are too many subgenres then simply disregard them, listen to what you like, no one is stopping you.
Q: i have a final tomorow and one of the things i need to know is:How pure metals are obtained and calculate % metal in ore.please explain, and a site or example will help TY
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Metal Gear 1995 Solid Snake Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake Metal Gear Solid (The Twin Snakes) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Metal Gear Solid: Rising Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots No the timeline goes like this (Im not excluding any Non-Solid games)
Q: For me it's a tie between Death Metal and Progressive Metal.
No, because there are no molecules in metals. In metals there is strong metallic bonding between each metal atom and its neighbours. Metallic bonding is neither ionic nor covalent. Each metal atom loses control of it own valence/outer shell electrons, they become delocalised, and move about between the atoms. This kind of bonding is the strong force which gives metals their hardness and high melting points and boiling points. Hardest and highest when each atom has several valence electrons ie the transition metals but quite soft and low when each atom has only one valence electron eg Group 1 metals. It is these mobile electrons which enable metals to conduct electricity when they are all made to move in te same direction!!
Q: A metal that doesnt absorb much light.
Well that's different, now there's metal sub-genres. In the 70's-80's there weren't. Seeing as what used to be metal in that time is now considered classic rock, or hard rock at best. The difference is this, listen to Ozzy Osbourne (Love Randy, have his signature guitar), Motley Crue, Guns N Roses, then listen to Lamb Of God, Pantera (Groove metal), or Here Comes The Kraken (Deathcore). Or Opeth for some nice progressive metal.
Q: Don't say Nu Metal, or Glam, because there are worse genres.
Furnaces are made out of stone, not metal. Some metals do not need refining. gold, silver can all be found lying on the ground in their metallic state. Metals like copper and zinc can be refined with just a small amount of heat. And iron refining can be done without any metal at all. .
Q: i feel very slow, i really cannot figure out the difference between death metal and black metal...anyone know?
The elements which form positive cons (cotions) by losing electrons are called metals.
Q: Do you think nu-metal is metal? Alot of people believe that metalcore, and nu metal is not metal...I think that both genres are metal...just not pure metal. They include other influences. But with nu-metal, I still have mixed feelings. I'm used to metal being all rock, not rap mixed with rock. But I have to admit it, whether I like it or not, it's metal...only with rap influences. Nevertheless...metal. IMO atleast.Tell me what you think...do you think nu-metal is metal?and what about metalcore?
Physically, metals are those chemical substances that are rigid, malleable, ductile and tensile. However there are some exceptions to such metallic properties like K,Na and Cs are neither rigid nor tensile...There are various other physical properties of metals like Sonour,Lustre, etc. and exceptions are also there in them... So the chemical definition classifies substances into Metals and Non-Metals without any exceptions ,on the basis of their tendency to attain a completely filled valence shell of electrons... Chemically, metals are chemical substances which are capable of giving electrons to other substances to form electro-positive ions called cations.Metals generally give electrons to non-metals (which are chemical substances capable of gaining electrons to form electro-negative ions called anions) to form Electrovalent or Ionic Compounds.

Q: 10 favorite thrash metal bands10 favorite black metal bands10 favorite power metal bands10 favorite death metal bands10 favorite core bandsIf you don't like a genre just skip it.
That is a very good question. Some consider Black Sabbath the Grandfathers of Heavy Metal and others say they are just hard rock. In my opinion Heavy Metal is aggressive music with heavy guitars and usually the songs are NOT about sex and girls. I consider heavy bands like Motley Crue and Whitesnake Heavy Rock. Now Metal bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Iced Earth are usually considered Power Metal. Megadeth and Metallica's first records were considered Thrash Metal. Some consider Megadeths really fast stuff more Speed metal than thrash. Thrash metal usually has the snare drum hit on every quarter note to give it a thrashing sound. Black metal and Death Metal are very heavy and this is where you start getting into what I call growly singing. I am not a big fan of this type of metal so I do not know a lot about it. NU Metal are bands like Korn who I like but consider them more alternative hard rock. For the most part many bands cross over and opinion sets most of the boundaries. If you do a search for Heavy Metal wiki you can find more in depth explanations but even then it is open for debate.
