Calcium Silicon Powder

1. Description:

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.

Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.

(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.

(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

If you are referring to manufactured metals, iron tends not to rust so much - not just because it seldom rains but because the humidity (water vapour present in the atmosphere) is so low. Cars left abandoned in the desert will remain in a useable condition years later. If you are referring to ore minerals, you find similar minerals in the desert to what you find in places with wetter climates. Evaporites, especially gypsum halite, are frequently found in a desert environment but these are not metals. Sulphide minerals of copper, lead and zinc would tend not to oxidise and hydrolyse so much but that said, I have personally seen oxidised copper minerals in the Atacama desert which is one of the driest places on Earth.

Its kind of when metal made a transition to a heavier sound, changing from stuff like Deep Purple and Black Sabbath into Iron Maiden and Motorhead, etc. The metal sound became heavier and faster in many cases. If by dark metal you mean black metal I can explain the difference: Black Metal is a genre of metal known for speed, shrieking vocals, and heaviness that is sort of a combination of speed and thrash metal and some elements of hardcore punk. It includes bands such as Celtic Frost, Mayhem, Venom, etc. Many of the bands are from the area around Norway, Sweden, Finland, etc. Also, a large part of black metal themes are anti-Christian or express discontent with human existence. Death Metal is a genre of metal similar to black metal, but contains more of a growled vocal component. It is branched from thrash metal, and elements of early black metal (80s). Examples of death metal bands would be Morbid Angel and Cannibal Corpse. Also, death metal has many subgenres where as black metal is less diverse or large a movement.

Check out Nighcrawler, Hell Patrol, and Living After Midnight (more of a rock song, but still great). There's also their song Metal Meltdown... That's a good one. Also, I love Iron Maiden... Another classic metal band!!! I'm sure you know who they are ;D A modern metal band... There's System of a Down, which is my fav. They're metal, so don't listen to somebody if they say they aren't... Just listen to their Toxicity CD. They're a progressive-rock/metal/doom-metal(psyche... genre. They rock pretty hard dude. Another modern one is Children of Bodem, which is more death metal than anything...
