Q: please..i want loads of cool names of some metal rock bands
normal okorder
Q: Also death metal
Heavy Metal is an umbrella term but usually refers to Black Sabbath. Thrash is speedy, usually aggresive, with complicated but skilled guitar work Metallica, Slayer, ect. other bands have been referred to as Thrash though, System of a Down, Motorhead and Judas Priest. Death Metal is compared to Thrash Metal quite often but isn't as similiar as some say it is, it's even faster, it's also ridiculously complicated, It usually uses growling instead of traditional singing. It focuses on violence, satanism (that's more of a Black Metal thing though) and mysticism. Bolt Thrower and Death. I don't really like this particular genre. Really I don't get the difference between Black Metal, Grindcore and Death Metal other then what their songs are about though I believe Grindcore grinds with it's guitars then using standard style riffs. Metalcore is a mix of any Metal genre and Hardcore. Avenged Sevenfold, All That Remains ect. Rapcore is a mix of Metalcore and rap. Hollywood Undead and I.C.P. Only one of these groups I like is Hollywood Undead. Nu-Metal started out as another metal genre, Korn (old stuff), Slipknot (old stuff), Disturbed (changed to a mix of nu-metal and thrash), System of a Down and Staind (also the old stuff.) ect. It became more of a mix genre when other bands were more of thrown under the nu-metal label (Limp Bizkit, P.O.D., Hoobastank). A good way to categorize it would be Old Nu-Metal (the 1st list of band with some additions) and Evolved Nu-Metal which uses a Metal base but branches off with influences of rap and pop. Then you have Alternative Metal, which is basically just like Hard Rock. Breaking Benjamin Three Days Grace ect. Then there is Doom Metal, in one phrase, downtuned guitar. Black Sabbath and it's immatators.
Q: please give a note on metal age.
Steel is a type of metal. There are many types of metals - some are simple elements such as copper, tin, iron or lead whilst others are mixtures of elements known as alloys such as bronze, brass... and steel. EDIT - and yes, once again Wikipedia has led someone astray. Metals are NOT exclusively elements. Metals are defined by their properties of being ductile, malleable and sonerous. Thus metals include both elements and alloys. Or is someone seriously proposing that a person building a steel structure such as a ship is not working in metal?
Q: what are the colours of nitrides ,halides of the alkaline earth metals ?
guy above me is a fagggg..... i say system of a down. they make me kill cats...... dude above me if i was a metal freak i wouldnt have mj as my profile pic...answer his question stop being a homo
Q: Why are locating agents used when working with different metals? It isn't because that they are colourless, but rather to distinguish between cos all the metals have similar colours right? thanks. :D
Rhapsody-The Mystic Prophecy of the Demon Knight--sixteen minutes of organic epic-ness Dream Theater-interior the Presence of Enemies--a 25 minute music in 8 areas it rather is relaxing each and each of how by means of. What else am i able to assert? Rhapsody-Emerald Sword--heavily the acceptable refrain I even have ever heard in my existence. Dio-as we communicate throughout the middle--between the main effective riffs in rock the historic past of rock. you're able to pay attention it to have self assurance it. Crystal Eyes-The Halls of Valhalla--a sprint familiar band, yet a good music. starts as a ballad, and then is going right into a protracted prog. metallic riff section, and closes with an somewhat heavy riff and a few rather intense making a music. Turisas-As Torches upward thrust--confident, Rhapsody is the main epic, yet Turisas is amazingly close, or maybe would surpass maximum of Rhapsody's artwork in this one. Iced Earth-Angels Holocaust--Wow! it rather is definitely one of the acceptable fusion of orchestral/operatic metallic and thrash ever.
Q: it's juz that i read somewhere that it's the seed 2 black metal, n that death metal = black metal. n that black metal could bend ur faith or something like that. really, anyone offended by this q, i'm so sorry, but i juz need an answer that could, well.. satisfy my curiosity.after all, u ppl have better judgement on this than i am.
Power metal and thrash metal and just a question for the one who brought up post-metal: excluding Russian Circles, who are really just heavy post-rock, would you really say that Isis, Pelican, and Neurosis have little in common? I've heard far too many people call Isis a blatant Neurosis ripoff, and Pelican an blatant Isis ripoff to buy into that.
Q: (I listen to anything from Black Metal to Alternative, and I am just getting confused. Isn't Screamo, Thrash, Power Metal, and Black Metal, STILL METAL???)
Check this site for the answer:www.okorder

Wow, I can't believe someone just called Pantera wannabe metal. I hate them, but they're metal. If I really wanna go into what Heavy Metal is/was as a genre, the bands I think of are Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Pantera. But I also believe that 'Heavy Metal' is gone now and now we have all the tons of subgenres of metal. Slipknot and Korn are nu metal, Unearth is metalcore, Protest the Hero is mathcore, Dream Theater is progressive metal, the Faceless are technical death metal, and so on. But genres are pointless in my mind.
Q: I will give you a hint:real metal-megadeth,fake metal-metallica.So what do you think is the answer?
Pfft, you can't be serious. You'd have better luck finding evil in black metal. ?_? Modern alternative metal is pretty bad, however. Mainly because after nu metal died out in the mainstream, lots of nu metal bands became altrnative metal, which kind of gave the genre a bad reputation, some even say the entire genre is not metal but those people need to listen to old '90s alt metal bands like Helmet, Faith No More, and (some) Alice in Chains and then come back and tell me alt metal is not metal... Old '90s alternative metal bands are the better examples of alt metal, IMO.
Q: I'm looking for some newer heavy metal bands that bare a resemblance sound-wise to classic heavy metal. Help me out? My two favorite classic metal bands are Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.
It's hard to say. Quite frankly, it's impossible to determine the origin of any type of music as it is an evolutionary process and you can only determine what genre of music preceded and may have influenced it. As for metal, it can be traced back to the late 60's and 70's with Black Sabbath, Iron Butterfly, Blue Cheer, etc and of course, there was the new wave of British heavy metal in the late 70's. Back to NWOBHM, I guess that's where most people consider other types of metal to have branched off from. Thrash emerged soon after in the late 70's and early 80's, and death soon after thrash. Death metal was never as popular as thrash or heavy metal, which is why a lot of its origins can't be traced as easily. Death bands that emerged in the early 80's had elements of both thrash and death. One example is Possessed who are considered both death and thrash, but seen as highly influential on the death metal genre. A few more early death metal bands are Atheist and Carcass though they are considered grindcore, particularly on their early albums. Though the roots of death metal go back to the 80's, there has been a new wave of death metal in the 90's. Bands like Cannibal Corpse and others (I don't listen to much recent death metal) have becomeincreasingly popular. This in turn caused a massive emergence of melodic death metal originating in Europe, particularly Scandinavian countries such as Finland. In my opinion, many types of metal originated in Europe and later caught on in America. However, one very American genre is thrash. Which is a whole other story and I've already written you an essay. Hahaha. ;)
