If you Tape more than one speaker to each speaker connection, you will BLOW UP the AMPLIFIER you already have. Those connectors clearly want only one speaker on them. Now, you might have a speaker A and a speaker B on your amp, and it's ok to connect the rear speakers to the B output and run both at the same time, but be careful to keep the volume control below 1/2.if you don't you can still blow the amp, and it's NEVER cheap to replace the outputs in an amplifier.

Get REAL speaker wire, like 16 gauge wire, which comes with twin bare ends at both ends, to hook up speakers. Plus, even if you could plug a speaker into a headphone jack, speakers need watts of audio power, and headphone jacks put out MILLI watts of audio power, that is, a signal thats a thousand times too low to drive a speaker.

Please recommend me whether i can go ahead.: bose car speakers are nothing special. bose gets its sound from sound processing eq's in the headunit, not from high quality speakers. a $20 set of aftermarket speakers will sound better than bose speakers. also, in some cases bose speakers have crazy ohm ratings. i have seen bose speakers with ohm ratings from .5 ohms to 24 ohms. so they may not be compatible with your amplifier.

Q: Can 6 by 9 Sony speakers handle a 500 watt amp?: you need to match the RMS rating of the speakers you chose with the RMS rating of an amplifier. If that amp puts out 500 watts of RMS power, then it will easily blow those 6x9's. however a 500 wat RMS amplifier that isn't a subwoofer amp would be very expensive. If you're talking abot a useless max rating, then those speakers will probably handle the power easily.

If you are referring to the Bose Sounddock 10 or the Bose Acoustic Wave Radio then I would argue Bose over Geneva speakers. The legacy of Geneva speakers are formidable. They have been in the studio and offer great insight into music, but the sound quality of the one's I have heard is lacking. Best I can put into words is the sound is arrested, held up, masked even muffled, it could be so much more, but it cannot. Geneva didn't give their best sonic effort to match their reputation, design and colors of the Geneva box. On the contrary, either Bose units provide a robust vibrant well rounded sound stage. The Bose Sounddock 10 does it best of the three. It is hundreds less out of pocket. My recommendation is to go listen to the Sounddock 10, be sure to turn it up, then turn it down, see what you hear. Best.
