Excavators are used in many ways:
Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
Material handling
Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
Forestry work
Forestry mulching
Demolition
General grading/landscaping
Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
River dredging
Driving piles, in conjunction with a pile driver
Drilling shafts for footings and rock blasting, by use of an auger or

Hydraulic drill attachment

Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.

Q: I would really appreciate if the answer made sense :)
the engine drive,s a hydraulic pump that supply,s hydraulic pressure to the main control valve...that in turn supply,s pressure to the component that the operator select,s ...usually a hydraulic cylinder that control,s a bucket or blade or stabilizer, etc....if you need more detail you can e-mail with specific questions.
Q: If you have a Renegade Doppelganger on the battlefield and you put a Halimar Excavator into play, how many cards will you make the target player put into the graveyard (2 or 4) and why?
Previous answer is incorrect. If you have a Renegade Doppleganger already in play on the battlefield, and a Halimar Excavator comes into play, your opponent will put the top 4 cards of their library in the graveyard. Halimar excavator checks for another creature to resolve, and then becomes the creature until end of turn. Once Halimar Excavator resolves, it triggers the Doppleganer's effect, thus making 2 allies at the same time it enters the battlefield. The reason it causes 4 to mill and not two, is because they are both now ally creatures with When Halimar Excavator or another ally enters the battlefield under your control, target player puts top X cards of his or her library into the graveyard, where X is the number of allies you control. When Excavator resolves, you suddenly have 2. Each one mills for 2. Hope this helps, I just constructed a deck around that same strategy, enjoy.

Q: How does lol excavator put off site?
Your position is the starting point, the direction of the mouse is the maximum and the distance is the destination
Q: What do you mean by "50" in excavator PC50?
The larger the number, the greater the engine power
Q: can someone explain how to use ratcheting binders please. using them to chain down bobcats, mini excavators, small tractors etc. i have only used snap binders but our company replaced them all with ratcheting binders. thanks

Q: Hi there, i just purchased a residential lot for a single family home. Back in the day it was A fill. City engineer said it was only approved for non-compressible fill(no garbage). It was then developed into a single family subdivision of 14 lots 7 years ago. I would just like to know what I should prepare myself for when they start to dig. What kind of process is it opposed to building on top of virgin soil? costly? This is probably a question for engineers, excavators, builders etc. I appreciate any advice. Thanks
Be prepared to spend a small fortune having the junk removed that was throw in there.
Q: We are building a two-story garage 30 x 40. I need an estimate on how much to dig for the footers/42quot; wall, plus backfilling after wall is poured. The area where the garage is going is already level. Thanks for the help!
You will have to get a local excavator or soil engineer to help with this. The soil conditions in your area will be a big factor in determining how much soil will need to be removed. The cohesiveness of the soil will determine the angle of repose. Good luck with the project.
Q: I would like to operate heavy equipment such as a dozer, crane, excavator, etc. All the jobs I have seen require experience, how do I lean to do this if everyone wants you to know how already? I have seen schools that you can go to but they charge $10,000 for a 9 week class, I cannot afford this and prob wouldnt pay that if I could afford it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
IF you do not want to attend a certified school, (and I don't blame you) then your best option is to apply to the companies that do the type of work, get a spot as a laborer, and while you are in your interview, clarify what you want to do. (for yourself and for the company) Start out on the bottom, and find a mentor that will be willing to teach you, or get the company to send you to school. It is a great field to be in, so don't give up.
Q: I live in a condo complex. Four years ago there was an irrigation problem in front of my unit because my sidewalk was uneven. When it rained water would collect and cover the sidewalk. The board members at the time decided to cut corners and rather than raise the sidewalk, they simply punched 2-3quot; diameter holes in the cement (12 of them in a span of 10-15 feet!)...and now...there is no dirt under the sidewalk and when we have a good rain, water runs out from underneath the sidewalk and there's a moderate sized 'stream' that flows toward my porch. This stream has eroded ALL the soil from in front of my porch and I've lost several bushes because of it and my porch bricks are crumbling from the water damage. What type of contractor do I call to break up the old sidewalk, fill in the missing dirt and build a new sidewalk? What type of contractor would have the knowledge to fix this? A general contractor? Concrete guys? Landscapers? Plumber/excavators? Please help...
Call a general contractor, he can get everything else lined up. Chances are, if the city owns the sidewalk and there is an issue with dirt being washed out, the city will ahve to take a look at it before anything can be done anyway. If it is a private sidewalk, the GC can have all the crews lined up to fix everything. You have bigger problems than just losing bushes. If you have water leaking into your basement and the porch is sagging, your foundation is under attack. Get this taken care of ASAP.
