Excavators are used in many ways:
Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
Material handling
Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
Forestry work
Forestry mulching
Demolition
General grading/landscaping
Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
River dredging
Driving piles, in conjunction with a pile driver
Drilling shafts for footings and rock blasting, by use of an auger or
Hydraulic drill attachment
Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.
- Q: We have a 10x13 foot storage room in our basement. We are looking to sell our home within the next year. Is it worth renovating this room into a 4th bedroom for re-sale purposes? The house is about 1900 sq. ft.currently. We would need to add an egress window but the rest of the renovation could be done fairly cheaply as the walls are set and most of the drop ceiling is already set. What would it add to the value of the house? Thanks
- It probably won't return your investment unless you do the work that youself and are willing to trade on sweat-equity. I just installed an egress window through about 7 inches of concrete wall - messy job, and with the cutting tool rental and excavator rental, I spent about $4,500 to do the job. Drainage is always an issue, as is the retaining wall material. I also installed a flush egress ladder system that blended in with the retaining wall. One other consideration - while you'll increase legal square footage because of the egress... a buyer would logically want a bath in that space. Now you have really 'upped' the cost because of more electrical and plumbing. You might be better off just installing the egress window, and stubbing out plumbing for a bath. Build the interior walls, run wiring without sheetrock to define the bath and bedroom. This will show the buyer the potential, it will increase the legal square footage, but you won't be hit with the big expense of finishing the rooms. You can probably do this for 1/3 of he cost of a finished room. You may already have a finished bath in the space... if that's the case, just install the egress window and run electrical. Good luck!
- Q: my hydraulic excavator SK04 is facing a sudden drop of pressure just after the engine heated up. Initial measured pressure was 4000psi but after half an hour drop to 2000 psi. Main release valves readjusted but no effect. The Arm Boom drop by itself to the ground even without opration. It occurs about a few hours later. Entire excavator has lost its power after engine heated up.
- leaky control valve or leaky pistons. replace o-rings
- Q: My 10 year old cousin is asking me he is being curious help he's asking me all day and not a fan of transformer.
- That would be Devestator. Formed by multiple robots; from Wikipedia: Scavenger, a red Terex OK RH 400 hydraulic mining excavator, closely resembling Demolishor. He forms the torso of Devastator, along with Overload. Hightower, transforms into a yellow Kobelco CK2500 crawler crane and forms the left arm. Long Haul, a green Caterpillar 773B dump truck, which forms the right leg. Mixmaster, who transforms into a black and silver Mack concrete mixer truck. He forms the head. Rampage, a yellow Caterpillar D9 bulldozer who forms the left leg. Scrapper, a yellow Caterpillar 992G scoop loader who forms the right arm. Overload, a red articulated dump truck that also forms Devastator's torso.

- There are tons. Excavators, formwork guys, rebar and concrete workers. Fabricators designers Steel erectors, roofers, plumbers, electricians, painters.
- Q: I've began working on an ally deck all based around Halimar Excavator. Basically its a w/u milling deck. - 14 land is nowhere near enough. Anything less than 20 is pretty much suicide due to lack of mana to play anything. With 14, on average, you won't draw the 4th mana to play Join the Ranks/Clone/Rite/Talus until your 17th card, a full 10 turns in assuming you don't have to mulligan for more mana (which you'll only have a little under a 50/50 shot of having even 2 land in your first 7-card draw). Also, the Kabira and Halimar aren't worth the slowdown in mana supply. 8 Plains, 8 Islands, and 4 Glacial Fortresses would be ideal, if you want to keep your mana supply to a minimum. I strongly disagree with the first responder's suggestion to remove Kazandu Blademasters. They are a top 5 Ally, and one of only three god enoguh to consider playing outside an Ally deck (the other two being Turntimber Ranger in an Elf deck and Hada Freeblade, who is only good because of Kazandu in a Soldier/White Weenie deck). Among the soldiers, Clone and Makindi Shieldmate are the two least necessary. I'd start by getting rid of those completely to make room for the added lands and 2 more Path to Exile. I'd also turn down the Archive Traps and Rites of Replication down to at least 3 each, due to getting 2 of either in your starting hand being problematic. I'd toss in Kabira Evangels in those slots, since they allow you to attack freely most of the time whenever you play an Ally, and counterspell anything targetting your people when you pop a Join the Ranks.
- Q: How can I choose excavator bucket lip?
- if you mean an excavator bucket front, you can specify the type of teeth you want,,, rock,, general purpose, grading,You don't give enough info for a full answer
- Q: I work as an architectural draftsman for an architectural firm. I currently have an associated degree in drafting and design and am planning on getting a bachelors in construction engineeing technology. Would this degree be helpful in the archiectural field or should I pursue something else? (I do not have the option of getting an architecure degree)
- may I suggest a job in grave yard as a real-estate excavator. If you have been working in the field and don't already know. it is obvious that you should be doing some thing else like digging graves or ditches. after all I am sure that you are waisting perfectly good natural resources in your current position How does it feel to know that your only contribution to this world is waisting AIR and Global warming
- Q: You said you want to argue with facts. If this is the case, here's your change to prove that you do argue with facts. In this specific question, I am not implying nor arguing that 9/11 was an inside job done by Bush or his admin. I am simply asking what happened to WTC7.
- I've heard about these stories and the only thing I can say about them is this. If explosives where used by anyone other than a terrorist it would have been for the greater interest and safety of the majority but I do not believe this actually happened.
- Q: i put in a fake rock background and side walls too by the way its really nice so anyways the substrate is excavator its really neat. it is a sand substrate but when you mix it with water it hardens to a concrete like sand really low risk of impaction and just in case she does get impacted i give her warm baths with a massage 1 day a week and no signs of impaction so every time i take her out to hold her she poops when i give her baths not even when she hits the water yet she pooped but never in her enclosure please help but every day i do make sure she poops but i would really like her to poop without me having to take her out to poop before this setup she was on repti carpet and pooped without any problems please help and give ideas thanks
- Maybe the best thing to do is test some new foods and substrates out. Every week you just change the substrate type and food type here are some good simple substrates you should try newspaper, artificial grass and reptile carpet. And with the food try feeding her a differant type of food every week, basically it's just about trying to find the right combination for your reptile.
- Q: What are the advantages and disadvantages of wheeled excavators and crawler excavators?
- Caterpillar type is strong and easy to climb. The wheels are mobile and can do frequent walking work. There is stronger than the wheel track
