- Q: I donated my blood today and they said my iron level was 52, is this a good range for iron?
- While others have given extensive explanations concerning serum iron levels, FDA guidelines require either hemoglobin or hematocrit (blood count) determination prior to volunteer blood donation. Based on your result, collection staff most likely measured your hematocrit. 52% is on the upper end of the acceptable range, and likely explained by slight dehydration. Overall, your levels are fine. Thanks for such a generous gift.

- My guess is uneven torque between the lug nuts. Whoever put the wheels on last might have made some lug nuts tighter than others which could cause warping
- Q: just wondering this but where in the hell does iron from space come from??? i watched some show on the histroy channel about iron asteriods on how they could destroy earth but i did not hear on where the iron comes from. where in space?????
- Iron production is the last phase of most stars, trillions of stars have spewed untold tons of iron into space and a lot of it ends up as asteroids, once in a few million years one these asteroids hits our planet and can cause great destruction. Scientists are aware of this and there is a faint hope that we will be able to alter the path of any that are headed this way.

- If it's forged irons it's easier to fit then cast irons. Might not be as good as from the factory but heck the pros on tour have their clubs tweaked all the time.
- Q: You have a spool of wire, a glass rod an iron rod and an aluminium rod. Which rod should you use to make an electormagnet to pick up steel objects? Explain
- Iron. Electromagnets are usually in the form of iron core solenoids. The ferromagnetic property of the iron core causes the internal magnetic domains of the iron to line up with the smaller driving magnetic field produced by the current in the solenoid. The effect is the multiplication of the magnetic field by factors of tens to even thousands.
- Q: is feeling faint when hungry a symptom of not enough iron?
- It could be a symptom of low blood sugar, dehydration or other things. It's good to see a doctor if you can. If not, find someone who had diabetes and ask them if you can use their blood tester next time you're feeling faint, to test your blood sugar and see if it's low. Each test uses a new strip, so there's no chance of contamination. If your blood sugar tests OK, you can try drinking more liquids. Try to get at least 64 ounces per day. Any less than that and you can feel faint, especially when standing suddenly from a sitting or lying position. One's iron level is pretty easy to test for and I don't think it costs much, so you should be able to have it done even if you don't have insurance. If you end up having to take an iron supplement, I recommend either carbonyl iron or heme iron polypetide. These types of iron are much easier on your digestive tract, causing much less or no gas and constipation. Heme iron polypeptide is the best, but it's quite expensive. Carbonyl iron is almost as good, and cheaper.

- If this is coming from your doctor get a prescription for TriViSol with Iron.
- Q: I mean like straightening it regularly with a fan or straightening iron?
- lat ironing is WORSE as the heat is in direct contact with the hair. With a blow dryer, you can control how close the heat is to the hair, plus the level of heat. BOTH are damaging, but no question flat ironing is worse. Best regards!
