- Q:i need a bit more information on iron sulphide the compound to describe it. and also iron and sulphur the mixture if you can describe that. the uses of it, properties if have any and any others. websites will be helpful too. Thank you.
- Iron sulphide is a grayish coloured compound formed by the Synthesis of iron and sulphur, when iron fillings and powdered sulphur are heated in a test-tube. It ignites spontaneously in air and evolves hydrogen sulphide gas when dilute hydrochloric acid is poured over it. Its properties are independent of its constituent elements. Iron is black and ferromagnetic in nature and sulphur is a amorphous yellow element whereas iron sulphide is gray, non-magnetic and crystalline. The mixture of Iron and Sulphur is a heterogeneous solid-solid mixture. When dilute Hydrochloric acid is poured over the mixture it would emit hydrogen gas as only Iron reacts and sulphur doesn't. If one heats this mixture in a dry test-tube Iron(II) sulphide would be formed.
- Q:What is the iron age? Can you name some important land marks during it?
- The Iron Age refers to the last period of prehistory that lays between the Bronze Age and the beginnings of writing (History). It varies across the World at which place if at all, it takes place. Here in Britain, it starts around 700 BC give or take a century, and finishes with the Roman invasion (which brought the first written records) in 43 AD. Here in Britain, in terms of art, culture, and linguistics, it is associated with the 'Celtic'. Important landmarks? I don't know what they are teaching you, or where in the World. Conventionally, maybe the Hallstatt and La Tene. These two levels of European Iron Age culture are often used to label the Earlier and Late Iron Age Cultures, although some recent scholars have reservations.
- Q:My iron level be really low, almost anemic and I wanted to know what can i eat that would quickly get up.
- you have to eat spinach they have alot of it
- Q:What does the existence of iron-rich rocks during the Precambrian indicate about the evolution of Earth‘s atmosphere?
- the precambrian represents a VERY VERY large chunk of time. it is everything before about 540 million years ago. if earth is 4.6 billion years old, thats means the pC lasted about 4.1 billion years. there was not always abundant oxygen on earth. in fact, earth was very anoxic, and oxygen was a nasty, poisonous byproduct to the earliest entities of life. about 2 billion years ago, halfway through the pC, the first photosynthetic bacteria start pumping the O2 out into the ocean. iron in the seawater quickly reacted with any new oxygen to form that characteristic rust-colored iron oxide, Fe2O3. the iron minerals quickly fell out of suspension, causing the notorious banded iron formations (BIFS) however, since there was a limited amount of iron and an exponentially increasing amount of free oxygen, eventually that chemical sink was used up and O2 was able to accumulate. organisms at the time either had to adapt to being tolerant of oxygen, die off, or take refuge (e.g. the organisms that now live by deep ocean thermal vents). so, for your answer, we really only see iron-rich rocks during the later half of the precambrian. it documents a time where the oxygen produced was being locked up into iron-oxide minerals instead of accumulating in the ocean (and thus the atmosphere because of mixing). it was only once all the iron was oxidized that the O2 crisis set in and free oxygen began to accumulate.
- Q:what flat iron should i buy?
- Trust me, you don't have to spend over $100 to get a nice flat iron! when you are buying a flat iron there are a couple things you want to look for: CERAMIC PLATES if you get a cheap one, most of them will be ceramic coated, but this is better than anything not ceramic. Most flat irons are ceramic, and higher quality ones will be 100% ceramic. ADJUSTABLE HEATING You want to be able to turn the heat up or down to make it straighten as well as possible, and protect your hair from too much damage. a good temperature range would be around 200-400 degerees F.350-400 degrees is a good max temp FLOATING PLATES this isn't essential, but it makes it so that the straightener doesn't snag on your hair, and trust me, it helps a lot! It basically means the ceramic plates will move so it will glide better through your hair. You probably want to avoid brands that are too cheap like Conair and Revlon. I found a great straightener . I went through 2 cheap flat irons and was really frustrated with both of them. But now, I bought a Cortex flat iron and I LOVE IT! It's worth over $100, but you can get it at tjmaxx and OKorder for only $30. They have tons of different colors and designs. It has all the great features of the more expensive irons like: 100% CERAMIC PLATES, TOURMALINE, FLOATING PLATES, ADJUSTABLE HEATING, SWIVEL CORD, etc. it also leaves my hair really straight and makes it feel soft conditioned. It is amazing, i was so happy with it! So definitely check it out :)
- Q:do the bigger curling irons give you bigger waves/curls? I have skinny sort of curling iron and I can never create those large waves.
- Depends what the length of your hair is. I know for my hair (just above my boobs) I always use a 1 inch. Its just the most versatile. You can always set the curls on lower heat and then blow them out gently if you want bigger waves. I find the curls just fall out if i use the bigger ones. If you have realllllyy long hair than a bigger barrel would be better, but otherwise, I would stick with the classic 1 inch ) Good luck!
- Q:Do Iron supplemrnts all contain other ingredients? My doctor only mentionedtaking Iron pills due to my low hemoglobin. My B12 is fine but I am deficient inIron. What is the recommentd strength and how often per day.Martin Siegel
- The 205 tires are 20mm wider than the 185 tires. That's about an inch. They are fine. Open your driver side door and look on the end, it will tell you what the original size is.
- Q:Okay I get low iron. My doctor gives me iron pills to take. Sometimes my iron gets so low I start to shake really bad My head starts to hurt bad and it starts to spin I drink 1-2 cups of o j and within 5 minutes I‘m fine.
- Yes it is fineGood Luck. Iron supplements can be taken over several months to increase iron levels in the blood. Iron supplements can cause irritation of the stomach and discoloration of bowel movements. They should be taken on an empty stomach, or with orange juice, to increase absorption.
- Q:this may be a weird question, but my period really smells like iron or metal. what does this mean?
- A major component of blood is iron and that's probably where the smell is coming from. Might be good to have your iron levels checked during your next physical, just to be safe.
