- Q:Twice already I burnt a hole trough my silk dresses. People say to iron silk you need to do it in low heat inside out.
- Most irons have a silk setting. Use a pressing cloth if you are nervous about it ( a dampened piece of muslin, pillow case, etc ). Lay the pressing cloth over the silk item and iron over top the pressing cloth. It is probably best to iron silk on the wrong side to avoid any shininess that might develop in the ironing process from showing.
- Q:My doctor said I have really low iron and that its a huge problem and I‘m gona have to go in for checkups every 6 weeks. Ik I sound dumb but I‘m curious what might happen if I continue to have low iron.
- well it is affecting your blood, you need it to keep your blood healthy. he should have told you what to eat to improve your levels so food rich in iron, and of course he may have given you iron tablets. hopefully these measures will work.
- Q:Iron can form two different ionic compounds with oxygen-- Fe2O3 and FeO.I don‘t understand how this happens! Thanks!
- it forms more than two, it can also make Fe3O4, and also oxyhydroxides like FeO(OH) and Fe(OH)3. The reason is that iron has three commonly possible oxidation statesiron with zero charge (iron metal), iron with a 2+ charge (as in FeO) and iron with a 3+ charge, as in Fe2O3. In the right chemical conditions, some of the iron can be in the 2+ state, and other iron in the 3+ state, which is how you get Fe3O4. iron can be stable at either 2+ of 3+, depending upon how oxidizing the system is. When there is a lot of stuff that wants electrons, like oxygen, iron is mostly 3+. when there is only stuff that wants electrons about the same as iron, it is in the 2+ state. When there is not much of anything competing for electrons, iron forms iron metal (Fe)
- Q:I need to know what are the Healthiest Foods that contain Irons. I know leafy greens and beans and meats but, what do you suggest?
- Some healthy foods that contain iron include cream of wheat, energy bars, and sometimes chillis / processed foods. A lot of dried fruits contain iron as well (prunes, especially). Be sure that you avoid calcium when consuming iron, since it blocks the absorption of iron. Vitamin C, on the other hand, enhances the absorption of iron. If you are deficient in iron, consider supplementing with a multi-vitamin that contains iron, (Theragran M worked for me).
- Q:Capture of a neutron by iron-58 produces what new element or isotope ?
- No, does not produce cobalt, that would be the capture of a proton. Addition of a neutron would give you an isotope of iron 58.iron 59
- Q:now that iron man is here. im going to update my past question.Who‘s better? Why?
- Spiderman then Batman then Iron Man then Superman
- Q:What‘s iron from?
- there is iron in a lot of foods. iron is great for people who are anemic, it helps boost red blood cell count and gives you the energy back that you might be lacking. you can get iron in a lot of meats: Clams Pork Liver Oysters Chicken Liver Mussels Beef Liver Beef Shrimp Sardines Turkey as well as beans and lentils, skins on potatoes, asparagus, etc If you're pregnant, make sure you're not taking a supplement with too much vitamin A, it can be bad for the baby. be careful though, some people get constipated when taking too much iron as well as iron poisoning.
- Q:How Can I Increase My Iron?
- iroon defiancy anemia is usualy caused by a defiancy in vitamin B12 or folate. the average western diet contains on average 12-15 mg of iron per day and you only really need 1-3mg to make up what is lost on an average day The thing is you need vitamen B12 and Folate to absorb iron from food, lack of iron itself is only usually seen in people on strict vegan diets. theese can be prescribed by your doctor if neccesery. milk is a rich source of vitamin B12 and folate is found in many breakfast cerals
