Q: What gets hotter, aluminum or iron?Any answers would be greatly appreciated!!
Your question should be which one absorbs heat quicker, and or what is the melting point of each and which reaches its melting point first.
Q: Why is flat irons better than hair dryers?
ghd's!!!! definitely the best but quite expensive - about ?100. well worth it tho!
Q: I rarely eat meat, but on my latest blood test my doctor said my iron levels are almost out the normal range of being high. I want to start taking a mulitivitamin, would it be ok to have one with iron in it, or should I avoid taking more iron?
Iron builds up in your blood and stays there for along time so I'd avoid any vitamin containing iron for a couple months.
Q: Ok, SO I have a 75 year old grandpa who has been diagnosed with Iron deficiency, he is getting REAL sick from the iron treatments they have tried to give him, I tried and could not find any cases of body rejecting the iron wich is what the Doc saidI did tho find that Iron OVERDOSE causes sickness which seem very close to what he experiences, and he only feels worse when they try to force Iron in him, wich is making me really wonder. Doc mistake? He is really tired and does take B-12 Shots but he really dont have any other as bad sympthoms UNLESS he takes the iron thats when he cant even walk his bones hurt so bad, but they insist his Iron is low and they have to find a way to give it to him.are they mistakenly overloading him?
Iron deficency test: Go to the mirror and pull your lower eyelid and see if the color is red or flesh color. If its flesh colored you are lacking enough iron and should take a herbal iron like Floradix. It will take a month to see a difference. Iron carrys oxygen in your blood and if you dont have it you will feel tired, cold hands and feet, headaches, RLS, dull brittle hair, brittle nails, poor sleep, pale skin (see thru), shortness of breath, fatigue, poor concentration, low mood, ringing in the ears, irregular heart beats, cracks in the corner of the mouth, dizziness, fainting, sore tongue and canker sores. Add b12 and folic acid for best results. They are giving him iron that is congesting his liver which is why he is feeling sick. Have him switch to a natural iron like floradix and also have him drink a small glass of real orange juice before each meal to help with absorbtion from his food. Floradix comes in liquid or small pills. Yes it is the drs mistake, they should be paying attention to his liver and his pain.which is caused by a congested liver and they know it.
Q: Ammonium sulfide+ iron (II) nitrate --gt; ammonium nitrate + iron (II) sulfideAnd what type of reaction are they.
Iron+ silver acetate -- iron (II) acetate (aq) + silver (s) Fe(S) 2AgC2H3O2 (aq) -- Fe(C2H3O2)2 (aq) 2 Ag(s) this is a single replacement reaction Ammonium sulfide+ iron (II) nitrate -- ammonium nitrate + iron (II) sulfide (NH4)2S (aq) Fe(NO3)2 (aq) -- 2 NH4NO3 (aq) FeS (s) this is a double replacement reaction . p.s. a single replacment starts with a single element a single compound . produces a new single element new single compound Zn+H2SO4--ZnSO4+H2 single replacment 2KBr+Cl2--2KCI+Br2 single replacment a double replacment begins with 2 ionic compounds which switch ions , to become two new ionic compounds AgNO3+NaCI--AgCI+NaNO3 double replacment Ca(OH)2+H2SO4--CaSO4+2H2O double replacment
Q: can iron oxide be reduced in molten form?please dont explain me how they do in blast furnace.its not what i am asking.simply if you have iron oxide powder and carbon powder which is from coal,if you mix them and melt in graphite crucible, does it reduce?no air blowing nothing.air free.melted with carbon powder.does it reduce?thank you
Probably not; because without excess oxygen, the carbon would combine with iron to form a carbon iron heterogeneous mixture or a carbon-iron alloy; which is basically what cast iron is, typically4% carbon. You COULD produce a type of soft 'sponge iron', but not a stream of molten iron as in a blast furnace. The sponge iron could be beaten into a shape; which is what the primitive types of iron were like. In fact, in the traditional manner of making cast iron in a cupola furnace, carbon was added to lower the melting point and alloy with the iron to produce cast iron, The carbon could be present as graphite flakes (grey cast iron, the easiest to manufacture), or as an iron carbide alloy in white cast iron (very hard) Look up cast iron in a search engine, to see the different types. A blast furnace produces pig iron, which is basically a type of cast iron, but it takes an electric arc or gas fired furnace to blow out the excess carbon and to reach the higher temperatures required to melt steel.
Q: i have a high iron count in my blood work , what am i suppose to eat to lower my iron count ?
check your pcv valve if plugged it will use more oil
Q: how iron work? function of iron ,
Iron is a key component of hemoglobin and myoglobin which transport oxygen throughout the body. Hemoglobin is found in red blood cells, and myoglobin is found in muscle cells. A deficiency in iron can lead to iron deficiency anemia which means oxygen is not being transported throughout the body efficiently. This leads to fatigue, compromised immune function, and lowers energy metabolism. Iron toxicity is also a concern which leads to nausea, vomiting, stomach irritation, and impaired absorption of other minerals.
Q: which iron chef program is better the original Iron chef or Iron chef America? Also, who is the best chef to you?
Hands Down its the ORIGINAL Iron Chef, they had more exotic ingredients, and they knew more techniques. I used to love watching all the different skills they had. Except for Chin (yellow I.C.) they never looked like they broke a sweat. Unlike the amer. I.C.'s they always look like they are treading water. Now having said that, the only I.C. here that i like is Cat Cora. She would have been a great I.C. on the original. I don't know if you know it or not but the whole American I.C. concept suspiciously got started after Bobby Flay made a total _______ of himself on the other one. After the first time when he stood on the cutting board, he should have apologized and then let it go. But no, what did he do, he makes it worse by coming back, and then throwing the cutting board on the floor and climbing on counter. Its as if he was saying i know your customs consider it disrespectful to stand on the cutting board, so, ok, i'll throw it on the floor(neener, neener, neeeeeeener!!!), i mean, how childish can you get? I think his pride was hurt cause he got his butt whooped. Cause he thinks he's THE best. My Favorite Iron Chef.Sakai (Red I.C.) He was so skilled in everything he did. I loved to watch him peel an apple w/o breaking the peel, just one long peel. He was fast at it to. i used to wonder where they came up with the recipe for some of those way out ingredients. The Challengers were from all over the world also. Also part of the fun was trying to figure out what they were saying sometimes. i miss those dayssigh krystan
Q: i need iron in my diet and i dnt like liver
Red meat and egg yolks have a bit of iron, if you're into that. Clams and oysters are high in iron if you like seafood. Broccoli, tofu, lentils, sea vegetables, oatmeal, dates, pumpkin seeds and bran flakes are vegetarian sources. Non-meat iron is not absorbed as well as iron from meat sources. Vitamin C helps to absorb more iron, so taking that in addition should help. Milk, cheese, coffee and tea inhibit the absorption of iron so try to limit them. You can also get iron-fortified breads and cereals. Yum, all this talk of food is making me hungry.
